We're looking for a full-time Veterinary Assistant who brings positive energy, strong patient care skills, and a genuine passion for helping pets live their best lives. If you're the kind of person who can go from comforting a nervous patient to assisting with treatments to educating clients—all before lunch—you'll fit right in.
As a key member of our veterinary team, you'll:
• Deliver compassionate patient care throughout every stage of the visit.
• Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians with exams, treatments, diagnostics, and procedures.
• Safely restrain and handle patients using Fear Free techniques whenever possible.
• Prepare exam rooms, treatment areas, and surgical suites for daily use.
• Monitor hospitalized patients and report changes in patient condition to the medical team.
• Collect patient histories and communicate important information to veterinarians and technicians.
• Administer medications and treatments as directed and permitted by state regulations.
• Assist with laboratory sample collection, processing, and recordkeeping.
• Educate pet parents on preventative care, medications, nutrition, and treatment plans.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the hospital, stock supplies, and help keep operations running smoothly.
• Build strong relationships with clients through empathy, professionalism, and excellent communication.
• Be an advocate for patient comfort, safety, and exceptional veterinary care.
You're not just looking for a job—you want to make a difference every day.
You have:
• A minimum of 2 years of Veterinary Assistant experience (required).
• Experience working in a veterinary hospital or clinical setting.
• Strong patient handling and animal restraint skills.
• Excellent communication and client service abilities.
• A positive attitude and team-first mindset.
• The ability to stay organized and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality patient care.
• A genuine love for animals and the people who love them.
• Competitive compensation (depending on experience) including base pay and 401(k) match.
• Comprehensive health and wellness benefits that start on day one.
• Flexible work schedules to support your life outside of work.
• Paid Time Off (PTO) because we truly believe in a TREAT YOURSELF mentality.
• A BIG focus on learning and growing—we provide continuing education opportunities so we can always deliver state-of-the-art medicine to our patients.
• Mentorship and real career growth opportunities.
• And the little (big) things, like comfy scrubs and lots of adorable patients.
If you're a Veterinary Assistant who wants to use your skills, grow your career, and make a real impact on pets and their families every day, we'd love to meet you.
