At Datacom, we combine technology, expertise, and talented people to help organisations thrive in a rapidly changing world. As one of Australasia's leading technology providers, we work with customers across industries to solve real-world problems and deliver meaningful outcomes.
Whether we're supporting governments, enterprise organisations, or growing businesses, we're committed to creating meaningful outcomes for our customers, communities, and each other.
About the team stuff:
Don’t miss an incredible opportunity to work with an awesome hybrid team based in the Ōtautahi Christchurch office. We offer a unique blend of software developers and BAs who show up to work on challenging projects, experiment with cutting edge AI tech, and run some of the best Teams chat channels you’ll find south of the Strait.
Sure, there are policies and company-wide emails about timesheet due dates, but you’ll find that anywhere. The important thing is, do you want to work in a fun team who loves having a laugh, and plays a mean game of lawn bowls?
We’re looking for an awesome Senior Full Stack .NET Developer to take on a Tech Lead role, who will not only smash out some incredible work but will also grow our team vibes. We need curious, growth-mindset developers who want to get stuck into future-focused tooling and redefining how software is built. We also expect you're adult enough to work in a hybrid role where you’re trusted to deliver your best work in a flexible week.
About the role - the work stuff:
We're looking for a highly experienced and passionate Senior Full Stack .NET Developer to join our team and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of software development. You'll be instrumental in building robust and scalable web applications using the Microsoft .NET stack, but more importantly, you'll be at the forefront of our exciting AI-driven projects. This is a chance to leverage your deep .NET expertise while exploring some pretty cool, cutting-edge AI technologies.
As a Datacom Tech Lead, you’re expected to bring a healthy dose of leadership skill and technical consulting expertise. Our Tech Leads work closely with client and internal teams, providing technical direction and decision making, and working with key stakeholders to ensure we are delivering a high-quality experience.

Why you should apply:
Join a great team with a pile of work and a diverse range of projects. This is not a place you’ll stagnate - our team lines up a wide range of projects for clients of all shapes and sizes. We trust our people to be innovative thinkers with ideas worth sharing, and we welcome fresh thinking in all our deliveries and ways of working.
We will offer you upskilling opportunities and a suite of colleagues you can teach and learn from. We work flexibly and treat our team members like the grown-ups they are. We understand everyone’s lives look different, and we will work with you to ensure work-life balance is part and parcel of your time with us.
The data shows that women and members of underrepresented groups are less likely to apply for roles when they don’t tick every box. We look beyond the box ticking, and we want to hear from people who think they’ll be a great fit and an asset to our team. Please give us a shout and have a chat – you never know, this could be your next step!
