Position Summary

Centurion Planning & Design is seeking a full-time, in-office Survey LiDAR Technician to join our Survey Department.

This position focuses on the processing, registration, QA/QC, and production of survey deliverables from LiDAR and point cloud data, with an emphasis on terrestrial laser scanning. • Develop surfaces, contours, terrain models, and other topographic survey products.
• Identify and troubleshoot registration, control, coordinate system, and data-quality issues.
• Prepare processed data for production in TBC, Civil 3D, and other survey/CAD workflows.
• Process and support mobile LiDAR datasets.
• Process and support aerial LiDAR and UAS photogrammetry datasets.
• Coordinate with survey field crews and drone personnel regarding control, coverage, and data quality.
• Manage large point cloud and survey datasets and support final survey QA/QC.

Qualifications

• Professional experience processing LiDAR, laser scanning, or point cloud data.
• Experience with terrestrial LiDAR, survey data processing, or similar reality-capture workflows.
• Working knowledge of survey control, coordinate systems, horizontal and vertical datums, elevations, and georeferencing.
• Ability to identify registration, control, and point cloud quality issues.
