ApplyThe PACE is fast. The expectations are high. The contribution matters. Working at TYTAN is more than a job, this is a mission. We thrive, think big, and hold ourselves to the highest standard. Our mission and values guide everything we do, and we're looking for people who thrive on ownership, embrace challenges, and are energized by meaningful work. If you're motivated by impact and thrive in dynamic environments, you'll fit right in.
At TYTAN, we aim to set a global standard in autonomous air defense with AI-driven, cost-efficient systems that counter unmanned aerial threats at scale. We protect people. We protect critical infrastructure. We protect Europe’s sovereignty.
We are seeking a Strategic Development Manager to shape how and where TYTAN grows. This is not a quota-carrying sales role- it sits upstream of business development and owns the strategy behind our expansion: which markets to enter, which partnerships and acquisitions create long-term value, and how we position ahead of demand rather than reacting to it. The ideal candidate pairs sharp analytical and financial judgment with the operational discipline to turn strategy into executed outcomes, working directly with leadership on the decisions that define TYTAN's trajectory.
Develop and execute TYTAN's growth strategy — identify, evaluate, and prioritise new regional markets, customer segments, and expansion pathways, backed by data.
Drive corporate development and inorganic growth — assess and help execute acquisitions, joint ventures, and investments, including the business cases and financial models behind them.
Architect and structure strategic partnerships with defense primes, industrial players, and technology partners that unlock access, capability, and scale.
Own TYTAN's market and competitive intelligence across the C-UAS and air-defense landscape — threat evolution, competitors, budgets, procurement cycles — and turn it into clear direction for leadership.
Build quantified business cases and help structure complex, multi-year commercial and framework agreements across engineering, finance, and legal.
Act as a thought partner to leadership, representing the growth agenda cross-functionally and externally.
3–6 years in strategy consulting, corporate development, investment (private equity / venture capital / banking), or a strategic commercial role - ideally with exposure to defense, aerospace, or deep tech.
A strong analytical and financial toolkit: business-case development, financial modelling, and market analysis.
A demonstrable track record of turning ambiguous, complex problems into clear strategy and executed outcomes.
High ownership and initiative. Comfortable with ambiguity and capable of succeeding in a fast-paced, dynamic, and creative environment.
Confident advising and interfacing with executive leadership and senior external stakeholders.
Fluent in German and English. Additional languages are a plus.
Hands-on experience structuring M&A, joint ventures, or strategic partnerships end-to-end.
Understanding of integrated hardware–software defense systems, ideally in air defense, autonomy, or sensor capabilities.
Knowledge of government contracting, procurement processes, and industrial-participation frameworks.
Familiarity with the European defense ecosystem, NATO armed forces, or MoD procurement.
Security clearance: Willingness to undergo security vetting as required for classified customer and partner engagements. Due to clearance requirements, affiliations with countries listed under § 13 para. 1 no. 17 SÜG may affect the application process.
Travel: Heavy. Expect European and international travel for partner meetings, industry events, and leadership engagements.
Build technology with real operational impact: Develop autonomous defence systems designed to protect lives and strengthen Europe’s security
Shape scalable defence capabilities: Work on solutions built for mass deployment, cost efficiency, resilience, and reliable production at scale
Contribute to networked air defence: Help integrate our systems into multi-layered defence architectures alongside sensors, command systems, and effectors
Develop for real-world operations: Build capabilities together with end users and improve them continuously based on direct operational feedback
Move fast and take ownership: Work in a focused, high-performance team where decisions are made quickly and individual contributions have immediate impact
Define a new generation of defence technology: Join early and help shape the products, engineering standards, culture, and direction of a fast-growing deep-tech company
Work with an international mission-driven team: Collaborate with experienced specialists united by the goal of creating sovereign and effective security capabilities for Europe
Virtual stock options: Participate in our success through Virtual stock options (VSOPs) at the company's current valuation
Monthly allowances: €106/month in flexible benefits including lunch discounts and EGYM Wellpass or shopping credit
Regular health care events: Health check-ups, skin screenings, mental health workshops, and an annual vitamin infusion on us
Referral bonus: Earn a reward when someone you refer joins the team
Regular team events: On- and off-site activities to connect and celebrate together
Corporate discounts: Exclusive employee discounts across a wide range of partner brands
Flexibility: Flexible working hours and hybrid work model, plus a modern Munich office built for focus and collaboration
At TYTAN, it is more than just a job; it is about embracing autonomy, personal growth, and purpose. Make a lasting impact in the new era of defense! Join us to create a safer world for all.
