Sequel is a digital family office of the world’s best athletes, artists and entrepreneurs backing companies that advance humanity.

Our primary stakeholders are founders. We’re on a mission to help them tell their stories. It’s one of the ways we win access and help them accelerate.

We are building a world-class storytelling team and are looking for a Storyteller who will work within our team to concept, film and edit visually stunning, end-to-end content that tells compelling, impactful stories.

Most content roles are built around a single skill: editing, filming, or writing. At sequel, a Storyteller aims to own the full arc. You research the subject, develop the concept, write the script, set up and run the shoot, edit the piece, and bring it to life with music, motion and animation. You are not handed a brief and asked to execute it. You help decide what gets made, why it matters, and how it should feel.

What you’ll do

Create engaging content: Produce high-quality, end-to-end videos that inspire and educate, aimed at our members and portfolio companies.
Collaborate with the world’s best startups: Work closely with our 50+ portfolio companies: startups solving the most important problems across all sectors. Document the journeys of their founders, explain their mission.
Tell their stories: Craft engaging videos across a variety of formats, including trailers, educational investing content, founder journeys, behind-the-scenes b-roll footage, and mission-driven stories. Optimize content for our app and/or social platforms.
Pitch ideas: Bring new concepts to our bi-weekly Story Lab sessions — a space where each team member shares an idea they actually want to make, grounded in a reference and mapped to one of our three content territories.
Set up shoots and film in studio and offsite: Ensure shoots are perfectly executed by setting up professional lighting and managing all elements needed to create visually stunning and polished shots. Capture footage during studio shoots and offsite locations, working directly with athletes and founders.
Use AI: Integrate AI tools into your daily workflow — not as a novelty, but as a genuine part of how you raise quality and move faster.

Our values

We play to win - not just to take part. Just like our clients who operate at the elite level of sport, business, and entertainment, we understand that in order to win; we need to put in the work. This means going the extra mile, being willing to do what others will not and holding ourselves to a higher standard. We are proactive, decisive and have the courage to take risks.
Impossible is an opinion - we are on a mission to build something which has never been done before from the ground up. It will be a hard journey full of challenges which are currently unsolved. Our culture is defined by the fact that when we are confronted with challenges, we work from the assumption that it is possible to overcome them.
We are transparent - we challenge each other. Regardless of title, seniority or reporting lines. We give feedback and we are hungry to receive it. We value honest feedback delivered with kindness, and we value people who ask questions.
We are adaptable - we understand in a world that is changing faster than ever before - the only constant is change. The average lifespan of a Fortune 100 company in 1958 was 61 years, now it is 18 years. We adapt to a changing world, constantly iterating, moving forward and staying relevant.
