Staff Backend Engineer, Integrations

Streaming TV is no longer just a brand awareness channel. It’s becoming a core part of the performance marketing mix, alongside search and social. Vibe.co is building the platform that makes TV work like the rest of the acquisition stack: targeted, measurable, and optimized for results.

Vibe.co is an Audience First Streaming TV Advertising platform that gives marketers the tools to reach the right audiences, optimize campaigns in real time, and understand what’s actually driving business outcomes. With hyper-targeted segmentation, AI-powered recommendations, real-time optimization, and incrementality measurement, Vibe brings the precision and accountability of digital advertising to the biggest screen in the house.

Today, more than 12,000 brands use Vibe.co to reach 120 million+ households. And in August 2026, Vibe.co became a Walmart company, opening up a new chapter for the business and the industry. With Walmart’s first-party data and purchase signals now part of the Vibe platform, advertisers can connect TV advertising to real-world transactions and measure the impact of CTV with a level of precision previously associated with platforms like Google and Meta.

This is a unique moment to join Vibe. With Walmart’s scale, data, and reach behind us, we’re building the next generation of TV advertising and creating a more measurable, performance-driven future for the channel.

About the Role

You'll join the Integrations team, the connective tissue of Vibe's platform, reporting to the Engineering Manager. The team owns everything flowing in and out of Vibe: measurement and attribution integrations, audience connections from CRMs and CDPs, and reporting pipelines.

This role exists because we're building a first-class Developer Platform: opening Vibe's full capabilities as a public API so external partners can build on top of us. Criteo is the first partner live on it.

Three reasons to want this:

• You'll be one of the most senior engineers on Integrations, setting technical direction for a team that's still small enough for one person's decisions to shape it

• You'll own the foundational architecture for a platform external partners are already building against

• AI-augmented development is the expectation here, not the experiment

What You'll Do

Build and ship integrations

• Design and implement production-grade integrations with external platforms: CRMs, CDPs, measurement vendors, data partners

• Own integration projects end to end, from scoping through production, with full accountability for outcomes

• Work directly with external partners to define, validate, and evolve data contracts

Developer Platform

• Drive the architecture of Vibe's public API: account, advertiser, and campaign management endpoints built to scale

• Build the documentation, monitoring, and tooling that makes the developer experience genuinely good

• Contribute to the MCP gateway and authentication layers that expose Vibe's capabilities externally

Reliability and scale

• Find the weak points in existing pipelines and lead the rebuild

• Set the standard for code quality on the team: your reviews move the bar, not just the diff

• Use AI tooling to accelerate your own output and raise the team's

Technical leadership

• Set engineering norms and technical direction as the Integrations team grows

• Weigh in on architecture decisions across the team, not just your own projects

• Partner with the Engineering Manager on technical direction and hiring calibration

What You Need

• Production backend TypeScript experience is required. You've built, shipped, and operated backend services, APIs, or microservices using TypeScript and Node.js, or a similar TypeScript backend runtime.

• Backend-leaning work. At least half your recent work is services, APIs, data models, and integrations. Fullstack is fine if the backend side is real.

• You build for users. You've shipped features customers or partners actually use. You've worked with product on what to build, pushed back on scope, and changed course when feedback came in.

• Ownership you can point to. A project you took from scoping to production and stayed accountable for after launch.

• AWS, with real architecture calls. Not just deploying to it.

Nice to Haves

• Third-party integrations: ETL, webhooks, REST/GraphQL APIs, or similar

• Additional backend languages: Python, C++, Rust, or similar

• Developer-facing platforms: Experience designing or contributing to public APIs or developer platforms

• Startup experience: Current or past experience at a startup of ~300 people or fewer. Doesn't need to be your most recent role.

Our Values

At Vibe, we run on three values: Impact, Ambition, and Urgency. We tie every goal to a real business outcome, think 10x rather than settling for good enough, and move daily rather than waiting for perfect conditions.

You'll thrive here if you own outcomes without needing direction, default to action, and hold yourself to results, not effort.

This is a high-performance environment with high-performance rewards: you'll work alongside people who push you, with real ownership over hard problems in a market that's moving fast.

If that sounds like the best version of your career, we want to meet you.

What We Offer

At Vibe, we want you to build something, own something, and grow fast. Here's how we back that up:

The pay range for this role is €99,000–€133,000. We will support relocation to Paris for great candidates.

• Variable pay. Based on real Vibe business goals.

• Hybrid flexibility. We're in the heart of Paris and our team is in 3x a week.

• Health insurance. Full coverage via Alan.

• Meal vouchers via Swile.

• Annual offsite. The whole team, once a year, somewhere worth the trip.

• Tech Syncs. Engineering and Product meet in person at least quarterly, worldwide.

Our Interview Process

We respect your time. Here's exactly what to expect: no surprises, no ghosting.

1. Recruiter screen. 30 min. We'll share context; you'll share yours.

2. Manager Interview. 45 min with your future manager. Your experience, your projects, your approach.

3. Product Interview. 30 mins with the Product Manager for this team. We want to hear about how you've worked cross-functionally in previous roles.

4. Technical assessment. 90 min. Code review exercise plus applied questions. Real problems, not tricks.

5. Bar raiser. 30 min with a senior leader to ensure we're holding a consistent, high bar.

6. Offer. Fast. We don't let good decisions sit.
