What's in it for you:

Lead the energy and infrastructure projects redefining how buildings perform.

Ideal for experienced project developers, engineers, construction and design-build leaders, building automation and controls specialists, energy and sustainability professionals, and technical consultants ready to lead complex infrastructure, energy, and mission-critical projects.

If you enjoy leading multidisciplinary teams, solving hard problems, developing innovative solutions, and translating technical concepts for audiences at every level of an organization, this role offers the chance to make a significant impact while accelerating your own growth.

The facilities our customers depend on are changing faster than at any point in a generation — driven by electrification, decarbonization, surging demand for data and compute, on-site generation and storage, and the shift toward intelligent, grid-interactive operations. As a Senior Energy Services Project Developer, you sit at the center of that change.

This role serves as the leader and integrator of the project development process—bringing together customer objectives, engineering expertise, financial analysis, design, estimating, construction planning, performance requirements, and innovative technologies into complete solutions that deliver measurable outcomes.

Working closely with Sales, Energy Engineers, Design-Build Specialists, Measurement & Verification Engineers, Operations teams, contractors, and customer stakeholders, you will lead the development of complex energy, infrastructure, and facility modernization projects from opportunity qualification through contract execution.

Successful Senior Project Developers understand how building systems, operational requirements, financial objectives, project execution strategies, emerging technologies, and customer outcomes work together to create successful projects.

If you enjoy leading multidisciplinary teams, solving complex challenges, developing innovative solutions, and translating technical concepts to diverse audiences, this role offers an opportunity to make a significant impact while accelerating your own growth.

Where You’ll Make an Impact

Our Energy Services business is built on decades of HVAC and controls leadership — and it’s expanding into the vertical markets shaping the next decade of the built environment. In this role, you’ll help develop projects across:

• Electrification & Decarbonization — heat pumps, hydronic modernization, and net-zero pathways for aging building stock.
• Core HVAC & Building Automation — the Trane and multi-vendor systems and controls that remain the backbone of every high-performing facility.
• Renewable Energy & On-Site Generation — solar, combined heat and power, and distributed energy resources that lower both cost and carbon.
• Energy Storage & Grid-Interactive Buildings — battery storage, load flexibility, and demand management that turn buildings into grid assets.
• Intelligent & AI-Enabled Buildings — analytics, digital services, and AI-driven optimization that keep performance improving long after project handoff.
• Mission-Critical & Data Centers — thermal management, high-density and liquid cooling, resilience, and efficiency for the facilities powering AI and the digital economy.

What Makes Someone Successful in This Role?

Successful Senior Project Developers are natural project leaders who enjoy bringing people, information, and ideas together to solve problems. They can coordinate multidisciplinary teams, manage competing priorities, evaluate technical and financial tradeoffs, and communicate solutions clearly to stakeholders at every level of an organization. They understand how customer goals, building systems, project execution, operations, technology, and financial considerations work together to create successful outcomes — and they’re curious, collaborative, and always looking for a better way to deliver value.
