Are you passionate about building technology that connects the physical and digital worlds? Do you get excited about improving how smart home devices communicate and perform?

Alarm.com is looking for a Software Engineer II to join our Panels Team, where we develop and maintain the communication backbone powering millions of IoT devices worldwide.

In this role, you will design and deliver robust, scalable software solutions that enable seamless interoperability between devices, making homes smarter, safer, and more efficient.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand product requirements, innovate on solutions, and see your code in action with real hardware.

If you thrive in a collaborative, fast-moving environment and want to help shape the future of connected devices, we would love to hear from you.

Alarm.com values working together and collaborating in person. We are building a new team in Krakow. Our employees work fully from the office with possibility to work remotely occasionally.

What You Will Do

• Design, develop, and maintain full-stack software for a wide range of platforms and technologies.
• Research, evaluate, and integrate new tools, frameworks, and methodologies to solve complex technical challenges.
• Participate in the full software development life cycle from requirements gathering through deployment and maintenance.
• Collaborate with teams across the company to define solutions that meet both business and technical needs.
• Balance speed and quality by knowing when to ship quickly and when to build for long-term stability.
• Contribute ideas and insight to product development, not just implement specifications.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Two or more years of professional software development experience.
• Strong object-oriented programming skills with proficiency in C# preferred.
• Experience with database design, SQL, and backend development.
• Experience in the IoT and/or home automation field is a plus.
• Experience writing and maintaining unit tests.
• A curious mindset and a desire to continuously learn and improve.

WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU?

• Make an immediate impact: You can expect to be given real responsibility for bringing new technologies to the marketplace. You will be empowered to perform as soon as you join the team!
• Be Empowered: We don't want to micro-manage you. We want you to own stuff and bring your experience to make those products the best in class.
• Long-term employment based on a permanent employment contract (CoE).
• Attractive benefits package: including medical care, life insurance, sports package, annual budget for professional development ($2,000).
