There are NO limits to your career: come shape the future and be part of a truly unique global culture at OutSystems!

About OutSystems

OutSystems enables enterprise teams to build AI-powered applications and agents that reduce manual work, streamline internal operations, and accelerate impact. A proven low-code foundation combined with agentic AI and AI app generation capabilities empowers teams to move up to 10x faster with the assurance of security, scalability, and governance built in.

As the future becomes agentic, our customers need us now more than ever. AI has opened the door to extraordinary possibilities—but inside the enterprise, things are moving fast and feeling chaotic. Some early adopters are making progress in production, but for many, AI tools are sprawling without governance, data isn't ready, and talent isn't there yet. Enterprises are still drowning in application backlogs and struggling with legacy systems. But with the right platform, AI doesn't have to add to the chaos. It can become the breakthrough that brings clarity—and drives real, enterprise-wide impact. At OutSystems, we've built that platform, providing the tools necessary for enterprises to overcome these hurdles.

We are looking for passionate, talented, and motivated people to join us in helping our customers build, deploy, and scale apps and agents—fast, helping them accelerate innovation while enabling secure, governed human-AI collaboration.

OutSystems is a truly global company, with more than 850,000 developer community members, 1,700 employees, more than 500 partners, and thousands of active customers in over 75 countries and across 21 industries. Founded in 2001, OutSystems has offices in the United States, United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Portugal, Germany, the UAE, Japan, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Australia, India, and Singapore, and of course has a thriving, worldwide community of remote employees.

About Agentic Nexus Team

Agentic Nexus is building the next generation of AI-aware data management solutions, empowering businesses to unlock the full potential of their data through intelligent retrieval, semantic understanding, and agentic automation. Our innovative platform integrates enterprise context graphs, semantic search, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and observability-first design to deliver scalability, security, and ease of use. We're transforming how organizations store, process, analyze, and intelligently act on their information. Join a passionate team dedicated to pushing the boundaries of technology and making a real impact in the AI revolution.

The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you will be a key contributor to the design, development, and implementation of core AI-powered features within the Agentic Nexus platform. You will work on complex technical challenges spanning semantic search, RAG systems, knowledge graphs, and enterprise AI agents, while establishing observability standards. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, mentor junior engineers, and drive innovation in how enterprises leverage AI for intelligent data management and agentic automation.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement core AI platform features: semantic search, RAG systems, and enterprise context graphs that power intelligent agentic workflows.

• Lead technical design for enterprise knowledge graph solutions, integrating foundation models and ML systems with scalable data infrastructure.

• Build comprehensive observability using OpenTelemetry across distributed agentic systems; ensure visibility into agent decision-making and data retrieval.

• Mentor engineers on building AI-aware systems, drive code quality, and contribute to continuous platform improvement.

• Leverage AI-driven development tools (Claude, Cursor) to accelerate development while maintaining architectural integrity and performance standards.

• Knowledge of product development best practices, continuous delivery, and testing;

• Last-line troubleshooting of complex incidents created by the solutions developed in your team, having on-call support rotation;

• Act as a technical mentor, driving best practices in development and continuous delivery.

Qualifications (Required)

• Bachelor or Master's Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or similar. Equivalent experience in software development will also be considered for exceptional candidates

• 5+ years in software development: distributed systems, cloud-native architectures, or data-intensive applications.

• Proficiency in C#, Go, Python and Java.

• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud platforms and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and messaging technologies such as Kafka/NATS.

• Strong grasp of data structures, algorithms, design patterns, and databases (relational and/or NoSQL).

• Proven ability to debug complex issues, work independently, and drive projects to completion.

• An active learner of emerging technologies and frameworks, eager to stay at the forefront of technological advancements.

• Great troubleshooting skills, with a knack for diagnosing and resolving intricate issues quickly and effectively.

Specialized Qualifications (Strongly Preferred)

• Semantic Search & RAG: Production experience with embeddings, vector databases (Pinecone, S3 Vector), and RAG systems.

• Enterprise Knowledge Graphs: Experience with graph databases (Neo4j, Neptune) and context graphs for representing enterprise relationships.

• AI Agentic Platforms: Familiarity with agentic AI systems and autonomous agent frameworks.

• OpenTelemetry & Observability: Proficiency with OTel for distributed tracing, structured logging, and metrics across complex systems.

• AI-Driven Development: Experience with Claude, Cursor, or similar AI coding assistants.
