Your mission
As a (Senior) Sales Manager for DataPilot at COMPREDICT, you will drive adoption of our SaaS platform for automated vehicle data processing among engineering teams and data scientists at automotive OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, and companies in adjacent industries. You will own the full sales cycle — from a customer's first free trial to a multi-year enterprise subscription — and play a pivotal role in scaling DataPilot's footprint internationally.
Your Responsibilities Include:
Sales Strategy and Execution:
Develop and execute a sales strategy for DataPilot in the automotive market, converting free-trial users into paying customers and driving new subscription revenue.
Own the full sales cycle: prospecting, needs discovery with engineering teams, running trials and PoCs, commercial negotiation, and contract closure.
Leverage COMPREDICT's existing relationships with OEMs and Tier 1s and build new ones with engineering teams across the domains of durability engineering, vehicle dynamics, vehicle validation, and data science / AI.
Market Expansion and Development:
Identify new growth opportunities for DataPilot within automotive as well as adjacent industries such as manufacturing, defense, and robotics.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders — CEO, CRO, Product and Marketing teams — to shape DataPilot's value proposition, packaging, and go-to-market strategy for targeted segments.
Represent COMPREDICT and DataPilot at industry events, conferences, and webinars to build pipeline and increase brand visibility.
Customer Relationship Management and Expansion:
Serve as the primary point of contact for DataPilot customers globally, ensuring a smooth trial-to-paid journey and high renewal rates.
Actively engage with customers in data science, vehicle engineering, and Software-Defined Vehicle roles to understand evolving needs, gather feedback, and advocate for product enhancements internally.
Drive expansion revenue by upselling additional user seats and data volume, and by moving customers from DataPilot S/M toward Enterprise, including custom VPC or private-cloud deployments.
Your profile
You're passionate about driving sales excellence and shaping the future of mobility. You bring:
Required: experience in SaaS or software sales, ideally selling to technical buyers such as engineers or data scientists
5+ years of sales experience; a background in automotive, manufacturing, or another engineering-heavy industry is a strong plus
Comfortable running a subscription, land-and-expand sales motion — free-trial conversion, usage-based upsell, and renewals
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts (data quality, signal processing, vehicle dynamics) for both technical and non-technical audiences
A self-motivated, results-driven mindset, thriving in a fast-paced startup environment
A bachelor's degree, preferably a master's, in business or engineering
Fluency in German and English
A valid work permit for Germany/the EU
