Senior QA Engineer

Senior QA Engineer

Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne | Hybrid | Full Time | Competitive pay & great perks

Embed quality into how products are designed and built by coaching teams, shaping decisions early, and improving reliability at scale.

Why This Matters

At Entain, you’ll be part of a global business shaping what’s next in sports betting, gaming, and entertainment. Home to Ladbrokes and neds in Australia, and TAB, betcha, Trackside, and Sport Nation in New Zealand, we move fast, think boldly, and create experiences that reach and excite millions. Powered by the pride, energy, and impact of our people, this is a place where your potential can grow through work that genuinely matters.

This role sits at the centre of our shift toward modern quality engineering. Rather than testing at the end, you’ll embed quality across the full delivery lifecycle while influencing how products are designed, built, and released. You’ll also help shape how AI is applied in testing and quality engineering, influencing how new tools are embedded into the development lifecycle.

You’ll work within a cross-functional team and contribute to broader QA transformation, helping teams move from traditional testing models to a quality-first mindset that improves reliability, performance, and customer experience at scale.

Your Impact

• Lead test strategy across complex products, ensuring the right balance of coverage across unit, integration, end-to-end, and non-functional testing
• Embed a shift-left approach by influencing requirements, design decisions, and acceptance criteria, while coaching teams to take shared ownership of quality
• Identify risks early, drive effective defect triage, and guide teams toward preventative solutions that improve reliability and performance
• Improve testing frameworks and automation approaches to support scalable, reliable releases across API, mobile, and frontend environments, including applying AI-supported techniques to enhance efficiency and insight

What You’ll Bring

• Strong QA fundamentals with proven experience defining test strategy, assessing risk, and making pragmatic trade-offs in complex, scalable environments
• Hands-on experience testing complex systems, including API and native mobile or similar high-traffic applications
• Demonstrated ability to embed quality early (shift-left), influencing requirements, design, and delivery practices across the full lifecycle
• Ability to coach and influence developers and cross-functional teams, combining strong communication skills with the technical fluency to engage on architecture, automation, and engineering practices

Great to Have

These are a bonus, so if you don’t have them all, we’d still like to hear from you.

• Familiarity with Playwright or similar tools, helping guide and uplift automation approaches across teams
• Experience contributing to quality transformation or embedding QA practices in product-led environments
• Exposure to AI tools in testing or quality engineering, applying judgment rather than relying on outputs

What You’ll Gain

You’ll join a connected, high-energy environment where sport, entertainment, collaboration, and momentum are part of the everyday.

• Reward: Competitive pay & great perks, including retailer discounts
• Flexibility: Hybrid and flexible working, with personal days off to balance life and work
• Growth: Build expertise in modern quality engineering, including shift-left practices, test strategy, and quality coaching, with exposure to AI in testing
• Exposure: Work across high-traffic consumer platforms, native mobile apps, and a QA transformation environment
• People: Join a collaborative QA community where you’ll work side-by-side with engineers and product teams, influencing how things are built
• Perks: Wellbeing support and an office worth showing up to - think sports on TVs, free breakfast and snacks, and a modern space designed for you

It’s a place to build your skills, connect with great people, and grow your potential through the energy, impact, and opportunity that make Entain different.

There’s nothing like it.
