Senior Product Manager – Learning Experience

About Babbel Labs

Babbel Labs is building the future of language learning. We are an AI-first, independent company within the Babbel group, based in Berlin. Our teams bring AI, research and product together to ship experiences that set a new standard for how people learn.

The role

You are joining to own the Learning Experience: how learners engage with our product and build sustainable learning habits. Your success is measured through retention, engagement, and real learning outcomes.

This is a senior product management role that grows with you. Babbel Labs owns the full arc of how people learn a language, and our senior PMs grow by expanding across it. Starting from the Learning Experience, your ownership can deepen or extend into other areas, such as conversational AI, adaptive learning, and scaling. Where you grow depends on where you do your best work, and we invest in getting you there. If expanding your craft across these spaces sounds energising, you will have a very good time here.

How you'll make an impact

• Own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for your area.

• Translate learner needs, behavioural insights, and business priorities into clear product opportunities, hypotheses, and initiatives.

• Lead continuous discovery and experimentation to find effective ways to strengthen engagement, retention, and learning outcomes.

• Define success metrics and evaluate performance. Use quantitative data, qualitative research, competitive insights, and learner feedback to guide prioritisation and decisions.

• Make clear prioritisation calls and manage trade-offs between learner value, business impact, technical feasibility, and speed.

• Partner closely with Engineering, Design, Data, Learning Content, and other Product Leaders to align around a shared direction and deliver from discovery through launch and iteration.

• Communicate direction, evidence, decisions, and trade-offs clearly to senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams.

• Pick up the scope the company needs next, including delivery-heavy work such as platform expansion or subscriber migration, and run it with the same rigour.

Your skills and qualifications

• 5+ years as a Product Manager building B2C digital products.

• Strong product judgement and genuine comfort in ambiguous, fast-evolving problem spaces. That includes deciding without complete information and changing your mind when the evidence moves.

• A high bar for quality and a sharp focus on user outcomes.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder-alignment skills, including partnering closely with engineering leadership.

• A proactive, flexible, and curious approach, with the ability to drive progress from insight to execution.

• An AI-first way of working. You already use AI agents throughout your own PM practice, for drafting and evolving requirements, analysing data and user feedback, and prototyping ideas yourself, not just for summaries and notes. Enthusiasm and demonstrated adoption matter more than knowing our specific tools.

Nice to have

• Experience building habit-forming products.

• A track record of shipping at scale, to hundreds of thousands of active users or more.

• Exposure to AI-led product experiences, learning products, or content and knowledge systems.

Ways of working

This is a senior product role on a team that works AI-first. You will work on a mission-driven product with global impact and shape how AI is used responsibly in education, alongside experienced product, engineering, and language experts. We offer flexible working models, learning budgets, and free language learning, in an inclusive, supportive environment that values curiosity and growth. It is remote and Berlin-friendly.

Diversity at Babbel

As part of our ongoing journey towards building a diverse, equitable, and inclusive company, we welcome everyone to apply, especially individuals who are underrepresented in tech. We are a learning company, inside and out, and we encourage you to apply even if you do not fit all the technical requirements — all candidates are assessed based on skills, qualifications, and our business needs. Please state your pronouns in your application, and let us know if you'd like to be addressed by a name other than the one appearing on your official documents. If you have a disability or special need, feel welcome to inform us so we can provide proper assistance in the application process.
