Senior Managers – Operations, Industrialisation & Project Delivery

At Rolls-Royce SMR, we’re tackling the energy challenge head on by building the next generation of clean energy. We're developing innovative small modular reactors, making clean energy more accessible while creating a UK success story with the potential to transform energy systems around the world.

 

The appointment of 3 Senior Managers – Operations, Industrialisation & Project Delivery will be all pivotal roles at Rolls Royce SMR to establish a new capability build within the industrialisation function. You will be reporting to our Senior Manager in Production Systems.

The main skills and experience needed to be successful in these roles are shared but depending on where you fit best in the business, will be discussed at interview stage whether that be in Delivery Model, Delivery Execution or Fleet Deployment.

What you'll be doing

 

• Defining how Rolls-Royce SMR will deliver future nuclear power plants through a repeatable, scalable delivery model rather than traditional project-by-project approaches
• Designing and implementing operating models, governance frameworks, standards and ways of working that will support programme delivery at scale
• Working across Operations, Supply Chain and Programme teams to create delivery approaches that are both practical and deployable
• Ensuring delivery models, deployment strategies and execution frameworks are supported by the right processes, systems and organisational arrangements

 

 

We seek inspiring and tenacious individuals who will have had exposure in regulated or safety‑critical environments (as you would expect nuclear "know-how" will be of great interest to us, whilst those from defence, aerospace and manufacturing sectors may all have transferable capability).

 

We will need your application to showcase your experience and knowledge in the following areas:

 

• Significant experience within complex programme, project or operational environments
• Experience designing or improving operating models, governance frameworks, business processes and ways of working
• Proven track record leading transformation, change, optimisation or capability deployment initiatives
• Demonstrable ability to turn strategic concepts into practical, scalable solutions

 

 

 

Location & Ways of Working 

 

This role can be based from our Derby, Manchester or Warrington office. Hybrid working is standard, with regular supplier travel required. Some international travel may also be required depending on supplier activity.  In return we offer:

 

• A salary between £71,000 and £93,200 depending on experience
• 17% performance related bonus 
• A benefits allowance of £5,000 to build a personalised package 
• Pension – 12% employer, 6% employee 
• Holidays – 28 days + public holidays (option to buy/sell up to 4 days)

• Life Assurance – 6× pensionable pay 
• £250 one-off home office setup payment

•    Obtaining Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance
