Patriot Erectors, LLC.
ApplyPatriot Erectors is a full-service, AISC-Certified Steel Fabricator and AISC-Certified Advanced Steel Erector. Since 1991, from our modern 60,000-square-foot facility just west of Austin, Texas, we’ve fabricated and erected structural steel for complex buildings and non-building structures — with a relentless focus on quality, safety, and pride in every project.
We’re a people-first company built on five values we call STEEL — Safety, Teamwork, Ethics, Enthusiasm, and Leadership.
Our vision: Recognize a Need & Fulfill It.
Own the S in STEEL.
Our values spell STEEL, and the first letter is yours. Our mission literally ends “without defects or accidents” — you’ll own the programs, training, and boots-on-the-ground presence that send every crew member home safe.
About the role
Integrate safety into day-to-day project operations for your region — processes and procedures that prevent injuries, keep us compliant, and minimize environmental impact. Hands-on and field-first, not behind a desk.
Safety IS the culture here, not a checkbox. It’s the first letter of our values and the last word of our mission. You won’t fight for a seat at the table — this role is the table.
Boots on the ground, ear of leadership. You’ll partner directly with project managers, superintendents, and field crews — with real standing to act when something isn’t right.
Dual AISC certification. Certified Fabricator AND Advanced Certified Erector since 1991 — disciplined shop and field operations worth protecting.
People-first, for real. Free, confidential mental-health support (Nivati EAP) for you and your family, Blue Points wellness rewards, pet insurance, a 401(k) match, and the Craig Cobb College Scholarship.
Room to rise. Divisions across Texas, leadership training, Udemy learning, and AISC membership for every Patriot employee.
You’ll integrate safety into the day-to-day operation of our South Texas projects — building and maintaining the processes and procedures that prevent injuries, keep us compliant with the law and company policy, and minimize the environmental impact of our operations. This is a hands-on, proactive role for someone who solves safety challenges in the field, not from behind a desk.
• Pre-Task Risk Assessment: Preview projects and project sites before work begins to identify safety risks and plan the right controls.
• Site Presence: Visit active project sites to assess ongoing conditions and ensure compliance — your eyes on the work, regularly.
• Partner & Solve: Work with project management teams and field crews to develop and implement practical solutions to site safety issues.
• Records & Compliance: Maintain safety documentation — including OSHA 300 logs — with audit-ready accuracy and controlled document management.
• Training: Train employees on safe work practices and maintain safety training certifications, including OSHA OTI.
• Accountability: Enforce minimum safety standards with employees and subcontractors — coach first, and act decisively when standards aren’t met.
• Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify emerging risks and implement countermeasures before they become incidents.
Must-haves
• 8+ years in EH&S roles within manufacturing, industrial, or high-growth environments
• Working knowledge of OSHA standards and regulations for the trades you’ll oversee
• Strong communication and listening skills — able to take feedback from the crew’s perspective without passing judgment
• Excellent recordkeeping, including controlled documentation and change management
• Comfortable accessing elevated work via ladders or scaffolding to evaluate conditions
• A hands-on, proactive approach, with demonstrated initiative, identifying future risks and implementing countermeasures
Nice-to-haves
• Safety certifications such as CHST, CSP, or OSHA 500/510 (authorized trainer)
• Experience in structural steel fabrication and erection specifically
• Bilingual English/Spanish — a real advantage for field training in South Texas
• Based at our Adkins, TX, operation, splitting time between the facility and active project sites across the South Texas region.
• Field conditions are part of the job — including accessing work at heights via ladders or scaffolding
• Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions; other duties may be assigned
Competitive salary based on experience, plus a full benefits package:
