- Evaluate proposed policies and regulations from both a technical and commercial perspective, identifying potential implementation challenges, unintended consequences, and opportunities for clients.
- Help develop evidence-based policy positions and recommendations that reflect both government objectives and industry realities.
Data Centres and Digital Infrastructure
- Analyse Malaysia’s data centre and digital infrastructure ecosystem, including power availability, grid capacity, renewable energy, water, connectivity, land, planning requirements and infrastructure constraints.
- Understand the technical and regulatory considerations affecting hyperscale and colocation data centre development and expansion.
- Assess issues relating to data centre capacity, energy efficiency, sustainability, connectivity and infrastructure readiness.

- Identify the government agencies, regulators, utilities, state authorities, industry players and other stakeholders that can influence technology-related decisions.
- Map key decision-makers and influencers and understand their respective priorities, interests and positions.

Client Advisory
- Develop a sophisticated understanding of clients’ technologies, business models, investment priorities and policy concerns.
- Help clients understand what is happening, why it matters technically and commercially, how government is likely to approach the issue, and what they should do next.

- Strong business acumen and an understanding of how multinational technology companies make investment and operational decisions.
- The ability to identify relevant decision-makers, stakeholders and institutional interests affecting technology policy.
- Strong analytical judgment and the confidence to form and communicate a clear view even where the policy or regulatory environment remains uncertain.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate technical issues into clear advice for policymakers, corporate executives and non-technical audiences.
- The ability to work independently under pressure while collaborating effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
