Sales Development (SDR) Manager

Company Description

At Quadient, we support businesses of all sizes in their digital transformation and growth journey, unlocking operational efficiency with reliable, secure, and sustainable automation processes. Our success in delivering innovation and business growth is inspired by the connections our diverse teams create every day, with our clients and each other. It’s these connections that make Quadient such an exceptional place to grow your career, develop your skills and make a real impact – help our future-focused business lead the way in powering secure and sustainable business connections through digital and physical channels.

Job Description

At Quadient, our SDR team starts the conversations that become our biggest customer relationships. We're looking for a hands-on, people-first Sales Development Manager to lead that team: someone who can review a call in the morning, rework a cadence at lunch and help an SDR take their next career step by the end of the week.

You'll lead SDRs generating qualified pipeline for our software solutions, across mid-market businesses, through inbound, outbound and account-based programs.

• Location: Canada - Markham. Hybrid 2 days per week in the office
• Travel: Up to 25%, based on business and event needs

What you'll do

Build great sellers. You'll lead and develop a team of SDRs covering multiple product lines. Expect plenty of one-to-ones, call reviews, deal coaching and pipeline reviews, each with clear follow-through. You'll use call quality, activity and conversion data to spot exactly where someone is stuck, then coach the skill that moves the number. You'll address issues early, and you'll build development plans that turn high-potential SDRs into tomorrow's account executives.

Own the pipeline. You're accountable for qualified pipeline, conversion and productivity targets, without ever trading quality for volume. That means sharp inbound follow-up, targeted outbound and well-run account-based plays. Your SDRs will research accounts, personalize outreach and connect Quadient's value to what each buyer actually cares about. When response or conversion dips, you'll be the first to change the cadence, the message or the call approach. And every opportunity you hand to Sales will arrive with clear pain, relevance and next steps.

Be a true partner. You'll work with Sales leaders and account executives on territories, account priorities and lead handoff. You'll team up with Field Marketing to activate campaigns and feed back what buyers and competitors are saying, and with SDR and marketing operations on reporting, capacity planning and data quality.

Make the machine better. You'll build repeatable processes for outreach, qualification, handoff and re-engaging stalled leads, and make sure playbooks, talk tracks and tools are actually used. Working with our AI Technical Program Managers, you'll bring in automation and AI that make research, personalization and coaching faster and smarter.

Shape the team. You'll help plan headcount, interview and hire with a strong eye for potential. You'll design onboarding and ramp plans that get new SDRs productive quickly, and build an engaged, accountable culture across office, hybrid and remote teammates.

What success looks like

In this role, you'll know you're winning when:

• Your team consistently hits qualified pipeline goals across Quadient solutions
• Conversion improves through the funnel, with stronger qualification and more opportunities accepted by Sales
• Inbound leads get fast, reliable follow-up
• Outbound engagement and opportunity creation grow in priority accounts
• New hires ramp faster, and every SDR can see their own progress
• Processes, playbooks and tools are genuinely adopted, backed by trusted relationships across teams

Ready to lead?

If this sounds like your next move, we'd love to hear from you. Apply today!

Preferred experience

What you'll bring

You love coaching, and you can tell someone exactly what to keep doing, stop doing or try differently. You're happy rolling up your sleeves with the team while keeping a manager's view of priorities. You bring structure without the busywork, and you use data to ask better questions, not to replace good judgment. Above all, you lead with empathy, energy and high expectations.

What we're looking for:

• 4+ years in B2B sales development, including real outbound prospecting
• 2+ years managing SDRs or as a formal team lead, owning coaching and performance
• A track record of leading a team to qualified pipeline and conversion goals
• Confidence coaching calls, written outreach, discovery, qualification and objection handling
• Experience building or improving inbound, outbound and account-based SDR processes
• Strong analytical judgment: you turn performance data into specific coaching and execution changes
• Experience hiring, onboarding and developing SDR talent
• Clear, collaborative communication across Sales, Marketing and Operations
• Working knowledge of Salesforce, Salesloft (or similar), LinkedIn Sales Navigator and Gong (or similar), plus real curiosity about practical AI for SDR teams
• Ability to travel within North America when needed

Bonus points if you have:

• Experience in SaaS or B2B software
• Led SDRs selling to the C-suite or senior business leaders
• Managed a hybrid or geographically distributed team
• Used Orum or another parallel dialer, or AI-supported sales workflows

Knowledge gaps can be filled. Even if you don’t satisfy every single requirement or meet every qualification listed, we still want to hear from you.
