About Roe
Roe AI (YC W24) builds AI agents for fraud, AML, and risk investigation teams. Our agents gather data, investigate cases, and write up findings with a full audit trail, turning hours of work into minutes.
We're a small, technical team with paying customers including eBay, Affirm, Kalshi, and TikTok. We're hiring our first SDR to help turn that traction into a repeatable outbound sales motion.
The role
You'll work directly with our Head of Sales and CEO to open conversations with fraud, AML, and compliance leaders. You'll help decide who to target, test messaging, and turn interest into qualified opportunities.
We're early, so expect ownership, direct feedback, and some figuring things out as you go.
Why join now
Joining early gives you room to grow and a real say in our outbound strategy, messaging, marketing, and conferences. You'll have goals to hit, support from experienced leaders, and the freedom to try things, make mistakes, and get better. As Roe grows, you'll help shape where your career goes next.
What you'll do
- Build outbound pipeline across banks, fintechs, and marketplaces
- Research accounts and map buyers across fraud, AML/BSA, compliance, and risk
- Run outreach through email, LinkedIn, and phone
- Lead first calls, qualify opportunities, and hand them off with clear context
- Help build our messaging, sequences, tooling, and reporting
- Travel to industry conferences to represent Roe and meet prospects
What we're looking for
- Experience winning people over, whether in sales, retail, hospitality, customer service, or elsewhere. One to three years of SDR/BDR experience is welcome, but not required
- A competitive streak. Experience in sports, Model UN, debate, or other competitive pursuits is a plus
- Clear writing and strong communication skills
- Willingness to speak with senior leaders and learn a technical product
- Initiative and comfort working without a detailed playbook
- Real interest in AI and eagerness to use it
No college degree required. Startup, fintech, regtech, or compliance experience is a plus.
Benefits
- Full healthcare, dental, and vision coverage
- Free lunch everyday you work in office
- $200 monthly commuter stipend
- Hybrid schedule with three days in our San Mateo office each week
- Flexible PTO
- Team bonding events
Compensation
The base pay range for this role is $60,000 – $75,000 per year.
