About Faraday
Faraday is automating the back office for the $600B home services industry (think HVAC, plumbers, electricians). Contractors are buried in essential paperwork - like permits, warranties, and rebates. Our AI agents take on these complex workflows so projects stay on track, contractors get paid faster, and homeowners get a smoother experience.
Backed by top-tier VCs, we're growing our low-ego, high-output team in Chinatown, NYC.
About The Role
As a Sales Development Representative, you'll be the top of our growth engine - identifying, engaging, and qualifying contractors across the home services industry. You'll run high-velocity outbound across email, LinkedIn, and the phone, turn cold interest into qualified meetings, and hand warm, well-researched opportunities to our AE. You'll get in early enough to shape the playbook, sit close to the founder and AE, and have a clear path to grow into an AE seat as you prove the motion.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives on speed, reps, and impact.
What You’ll Do
- Prospect and qualify contractors across home services segments, serving as the first point of contact for prospects evaluating Faraday
- Run high-volume, multi-channel outbound (email, LinkedIn, phone) to build pipeline and consistently hit meeting and qualified-opportunity targets
- Tailor outreach to each contractor's business - articulate how Faraday's AI agents keep projects on track, get them paid faster, and take paperwork off their plate
- Book qualified meetings and hand off warm, well-researched opportunities to the AE with the context they need to close
- Conduct discovery to qualify fit, pain, and timing
- Test and iterate fast: help refine sequences, messaging, and target lists, and share what's landing so we double down on what works
- Keep a clean CRM with disciplined follow-up so no lead gets burned
- Share what you're hearing from the market to help sharpen the pitch and our go-to-market
What You’ll Bring
- 1-3 years in an SDR, BDR, or outbound sales role - ideally at a high-growth startup - or a strong record of hustle and results from another path
- A track record of hitting or exceeding outbound meeting targets, with meetings that actually convert downstream
- Confidence on the phone and in writing: you can articulate value clearly whether it's a 30-second cold call or a personalized cold email that gets a reply
- Comfort with high volume - you can run 50+ touches a day without sacrificing quality
- Resilience and self-direction - you keep momentum without someone managing your day
- CRM discipline: clean data, updated stages, notes your AE can actually use
- Bonus: experience selling or prospecting into home services, construction, trades, or other operationally-driven SMBs
- Bonus: experience selling AI or SaaS, or early-stage startup experience
Who You Are
- Competitive with yourself. You track your numbers, know your conversion rates, and are always looking for the next lever to pull.
- Relentless, not robotic. You're persistent in outreach but think about the person on the other end and why they'd care. You treat a "no" as a signal about messaging, timing, or targeting.
- Prepared. You've looked at the prospect's business and can speak to their specific pain before you pick up the phone.
- Hungry to grow. This is an early seat with a clear path to AE and a front-row view of how a company is built.
Compensation & Benefits
- $100K OTE with uncapped upside as you build pipeline that closes
- Meaningful equity in a capital-efficient, high-growth business
- Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage
- Direct access to the founder and AE, and real influence over how we go to market
- A clear path to Account Executive as you prove the motion
