Restaurant Sanchez - Sous Chef

Hola!

We're looking for someone who owns their kitchen.

Restaurant Sanchez is the culinary anchor of a contemporary Mexican restaurant group founded by chef Rosio Sanchez. We're a Michelin Bib Gourmand team that takes Mexican food seriously, moves with intention, and holds a high bar for everything that leaves the pass. If you want a kitchen role where you're genuinely running the show, this is it.

What you'll do

Lead service from open to close: set up the kitchen, run the pass, and hold the team to standard throughout. Manage prep quality, station readiness, and line execution. Step in across sections when needed and make calls without waiting to be told. Maintain food safety, hygiene, and ordering discipline.

What we offer

Competitive salary. Flexible schedule, 35 to 40 hours per week. A tight-knit kitchen team that takes craft seriously. Staff food and beverages during your shift. Direct involvement in menu R&D alongside Rosio. Perks including discounts at POPL, Barr, and Hart Bageri.

Who you are

You've run a kitchen before, or you're close. You're organized under pressure, consistent in execution, and the kind of cook who raises the standard around them. You're curious about Mexican cuisine and want to go deep on it, not just execute it. You lead by example and you don't need to be managed.
