Product Manager at Citian · Katori

Citian is a fast growing, venture backed SaaS technology company based in Washington, DC. Our software solutions revolutionize how our transportation and infrastructure systems – roads, rail, transit, bicycle, pedestrian – operate.

Our tech solutions:

Reduce traffic fatalities
Enhance pedestrian accessibility
Empower system operators to save time & money

You’ll work with some of the brightest minds in the software and transportation industries. Our engineers and data scientists apply the latest in emerging tech, Artificial Intelligence, and Machine Learning to build smarter, more advanced tools for our diverse client base. We work with clients across the United States, with global ambitions in the years ahead.

Who You Are:

As a Product Manager, you will help lead the strategy and execution for Citian's product suite. This role sits at the intersection of engineering, customer success, and AI integration. You will own the product roadmap for current and future offerings while working closely with the engineering, design, data science, and go-to-market teams to deliver impactful features that drive adoption and measurable customer value. Our products are data and models first, sold to state and local governments, so getting the data right matters as much as the features.

What You’ll Do

Define and own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap including deciding what not to build.
Partner with design and engineering to deliver intuitive, high-quality user experiences
Work with data science to define what good data and model output looks like, and how we measure it.
Develop features that leverage automation and AI to reduce manual effort and improve outcomes
Work closely with existing clients to understand their pain points and validate solutions
Establish clear success metrics (e.g., engagement rates, conversion, time saved, adoption)
Collaborate with go-to-market teams to drive successful launches and adoption

Required Qualifications:

5+ years of product management experience, ideally in SaaS or GovTech
Experience with complex data, analytics, or AI/ML products and GovTech or another complex compliance or technical domain (healthcare, finance, security, etc.)
Strong understanding of user workflows and building for non-technical users at scale
Ability to translate complex problems or client requirements into simple solutions
Data-driven mindset with experience defining and tracking product metrics
Uses AI tools day to day
Comfortable in a startup-style setting with lightweight structure. You’ll be one of our first PMs and will help build the product function as it matures
Proven ability to work cross-functionally with our engineering and product teams and influence without authority
Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications:

Familiarity with state and local governments and/or public sector transportation
Geospatial or mapping product experience

Your Citian Advantage:

Competitive salary and benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance and generous PTO.
401(k) company match and monthly commuter transportation benefit
On-site gym and free snacks in the office
High-growth potential and opportunities for advancement within a fast growing, venture-backed SaaS startup!
