Principal Program Manager

About lemon.markets 🍋

We enable anyone to be an investor. Our mission is to grow investing opportunities for all European customers and businesses. By empowering FinTechs, banks, and wealth managers to offer investment products, we help create financial well-being for their customers.

lemon.markets is a Brokerage-as-a-Service platform: simple digital access to capital markets through a single API. Our API-first infrastructure abstracts brokerage complexity with a well-documented API, a self-service customer operations portal, and a clear regulatory framework, so partners can launch customer-centric, compliant products in weeks, not months.

As part of the dwpbank Group, we share a clear goal: making investing in capital markets more accessible. By combining dwpbank’s long-standing expertise and stability with lemon.markets’ technology-first mindset and speed, we are building a modern, modular securities services ecosystem. Together, we offer faster time-to-market, modular services, and a modern customer experience that helps financial service providers stay competitive and respond more flexibly in a changing market.

Your Mission
As we deepen our collaboration with our parent company, dwpbank, we are looking for a highly strategic and execution-focused person to lead one of our most important cross-company initiatives.

In this role, you will act as the central coordination point for a joint offering with dwpbank. You will bring clarity to complexity, align stakeholders across both organizations, and drive the overall program across commercial, product, and governance workstreams. Your job is to ensure that the right topics move forward, dependencies are surfaced early, and teams stay focused on what matters most.

In this role you will:

• Own the overall coordination of a critical cross-company strategic program between lemon.markets and dwpbank.

• Help shape how lemon.markets’ and dwpbank’s offerings come together into a compelling joint proposition for shared customers.

• Collaborate closely with product, engineering, operations, legal, and commercial stakeholders to ensure seamless execution across the full value chain.

• Act as the connective layer across teams and senior stakeholders, ensuring that priorities, decisions, risks, and dependencies are transparent and actively managed.

• Work closely with senior leaders at lemon.markets and dwpbank to keep the program on track and escalate where needed.

• Identify strategic risks and opportunities early, connect the dots across domains, and proactively steer the program accordingly.

• Translate complex discussions and developments into clear recommendations, concrete next steps, and actionable decisions.

• Keep momentum high across all involved stakeholders by driving follow-through, enabling effective communication across teams, building bridges between organizations and functions, and ensuring lemoneers and leadership have the right information and context at the right time.

• Partner with internal commercial teams and dwpbank counterparts to support business development efforts for the joint offering.

You’ll be successful in this role if you:

• Bring strong experience in program management, strategic project leadership, or change delivery in a complex financial-services environment.

• Have experience in securities services, custody, brokerage, wealth management, asset management, or adjacent financial infrastructure environments.

• Understand how to navigate regulated environments and cross-functional dependencies across multiple senior stakeholders.

• Are able to absorb complex context quickly, structure ambiguity, and turn it into practical action.

• Are not just a status-tracker: you bring judgment, anticipate what matters, and actively steer topics before they become problems.

• Combine strategic thinking with a hands-on mindset, strong execution discipline, and a clear drive to make progress.

• Are a patient, thoughtful communicator who can build trust, create alignment, and move topics forward across organizational boundaries and seniority levels.

• Know how to facilitate communication across diverse stakeholder groups, ensure the right context is shared with the right people, and help teams stay aligned even in complex or sensitive situations.

• Have strong commercial instincts and understand how product, execution, and business development interact in strategic initiatives.

• Are fluent in German and English.

How we take care of you:

• 🏢 Hybrid work setup: You can work from anywhere in Germany within a hybrid model. At the same time, in-person collaboration is a key part of our culture. • 📈 Grow with us: We take your personal development seriously! You’ll get regular mentorship and stretch opportunities, a clear career development framework with frequent feedback conversations as well as an annual learning budget.

But also in the bigger things: celebrating the onboarding of new partners, growing our teams, and owning a strong discussion culture.

• 💛 Perks & benefits: We choose benefits that add actual value. We sponsor a Deutschlandticket for employees on unlimited contracts, plus 50% off on Beatvest - our partner for financial education and investing.

• 🏝 Workation: Get out of here! At lemon.markets you can work remotely from anywhere in the EU for up to 10 consecutive days at a time, and up to 60 days per year in total.
