Prep / Lower Primary Teacher

About ACC

Australian Christian College (ACC) is a protestant non-denominational, Christian Education organisation, whose mission is to develop each and every student to be equipped spiritually, academically, socially and physically to flourish into their full potential, and be a positive influence on the world around them. ACC is wholeheartedly committed to excellence in education so that students are “well known, well loved, and well taught” by dedicated trained Christian staff.

ACC is part of Christian Education Ministries, with 17 schools in 5 states, and is also the largest non-government Distance Education provider in Australia.

About ACC Launceston

Our Launceston Campus in Tasmania is a K-10 co-ed Christian school. While the school community is still relatively small (100+ on-campus and 70+ in Distance Education), the growth over the past five years has been strong and sustained as is the school’s learning environment and culture.

Forget being just another face in a crowded staffroom. At ACC Launceston, we are building something special: a close-knit community united by a shared faith and a passion for education.

As a growing school, we offer a unique and exciting environment. We’re small enough that every teacher is known and valued, but we’re dynamic enough to offer real opportunities for professional growth. Our team is collaborative, supportive, and truly lives out our shared purpose.

We believe in quality over quantity, giving you the time and space to actually teach, build deep relationships, and see your students flourish academically and spiritually.

About the role

We are seeking a passionate Prep/Lower Primary Teacher to create a nurturing, engaging and Christ-centred learning environment. The successful candidate will plan and deliver high-quality, differentiated learning experiences, assess and support student progress, establish positive classroom routines, communicate effectively with families, and contribute to the wider life and Christian culture of the College.

This full time role will start January 2027.

Statement of Commitment to Child Safety

ACC is a child safe organisation which welcomes all children, young people and their families. We are committed to providing environments where our students are safe and feel safe, where their participation is valued, their views respected, and their voices are heard about decisions that affect their lives. Our child safe policies, strategies and practices are inclusive of the needs of all children and students. We have no tolerance for child abuse and take proactive steps to identify and manage any risks of harm to students in our school environments.

• Love to collaborate and see the value in a supportive, shared-purpose staff team.
