Float
ApplyThis posting reflects a current, actively recruited opening at Float. All applications are being reviewed on a rolling basis.
Float is on a mission to simplify finance for Canadian businesses, empowering them to eliminate complexity and unlock new opportunities. Through our innovative platform, Float enables businesses to streamline financial operations and optimize cash flow, so they can focus on what matters most: growth.
As one of Canada’s fastest growing companies and top-rated startups in 2025, 2024 and 2023, Float is customer-obsessed, passionate and entrepreneurial, with a team that includes leaders from Uber, Stripe, Shopify, Top Hat, Ada, Doordash, Snowflake, and Wealthsimple.
At Float, everyone is an owner, bringing their unique perspective to our team and product. Your voice is important, and we take having a culture based on feedback seriously. We openly share our thoughts and differing opinions so we can continue to improve. We do our best to keep our decision-making decentralized so that all team members feel ownership in our success.
Float is Canada’s intelligent financial operating system, combining modern financial services and software to help businesses spend, save, and grow. Trusted by more than 10,000 Canadian companies, Float provides high-limit corporate cards, automated expense management, next-day bill payments, high-yield accounts, and industry-leading support, all built in Canada, for Canada. Float recently announced our $85 million Series C, and is backed by world-class investors, including Inovia Capital, Growth Equity at Goldman Sachs Alternatives, OMERS Ventures, and Silicon Valley Bank.
Our team is a collection of ambitious, collaborative and mission-driven people from all walks of life but with one goal: helping Canadian companies not just survive but thrive. And we’re looking for bold innovators to help shape the future of business finance in Canada.
We use technology, including artificial intelligence (AI), to support parts of our hiring process. This may include AI-assisted scheduling and candidate communications, and AI-generated interview notes, guides or summaries to help our team focus on the conversation. All hiring decisions are made by our hiring team.
As a Partner Success Manager, you'll own the relationship between Float and the accounting firms, bookkeepers, fractional CFOs, affiliates, VCs, and consultants who refer their clients to us. Partner-referred customers have higher activation, adoption and retention rates than direct — and the channel is growing fast. Today it's run by a lean team, which means this role comes with real scope from day one: you'll own strategy, build the playbook, and help decide how we scale it.
If you're energized by building a process that doesn't exist yet, and by creating urgency on other people's behalf, we'd love to hear from you.
Build and run the motion that increases the average number of clients per partner.
Own monthly and quarterly business reviews, multi-product attach, and partner payouts across your book.
Re-engage partners on Float’s entire product suite.
Identify and pursue expansion opportunities across your assigned partner portfolio.
Be the one person a partner can reach for anything across every client account they run. Partners advise their own clients on what you tell them, so a slow answer costs them credibility they can't get back.
Hold a response standard higher than standard customer support. Partners manage books of five to a thousand clients each and expect to be treated accordingly.
Support partners through platform changes and transitions so they keep using Float's full capability set.
Flag and prioritize the operational gaps that block scale, including the partner-to-client data join, deployment reporting, and benefits application, feeding directly into Engineering and Rev Ops priorities.
Push for the data (rep involvement, referral reason, funnel stage) that would let Float measure, not guess, what actually drives a partner from signing to spending.
Bring partner feedback into product and process conversations, the same role a CSM plays for direct customers.
You Put Customers First, Always. You care deeply about delivering meaningful value, and you extend that instinct to partners and the clients they bring us, not just Float's direct customers.
You Act Like an Owner. You take responsibility for outcomes, including ones without a system to track them yet, and do what's best for the channel, not just your role.
You Think Big and Move Fast. You're energized by building from 0 to 1. Partnerships run on one operator today; you're not waiting for someone else to build the playbook.
You Constantly Learn and Grow. You're hungry to improve your craft and open to feedback. You bring a growth mindset to everything you do.
You Raise the Bar. You care about doing things well and efficiently, balancing the urgency of an eight-week activation window with the rigor partners expect from a firm they're building their practice around.
You Win as a Team. You're a generous collaborator across Sales, Support, Approvals and Product. You lift others up and help make the team stronger.
You've got the experience. We're looking for a Partner Success Manager with 3+ years in customer success, account management, or channel partnerships within B2B SaaS or fintech, with a proven record of driving adoption and retention across a portfolio of accounts or partners.
Nice to have:
CPA, CA or CFA designation, or direct experience working with accountants, bookkeepers, or fractional CFOs, the profile of a Float partner.
You're bilingual. Fluent in French and English, written and spoken, moving effortlessly between the two with partners and colleagues across Canada.
You know how to leverage data. You prioritize your effort based on insight, not habit, and you're comfortable working across Salesforce, Euler and Snowflake even though nothing joins them today.
You create urgency without authority. Partners aren't your direct reports. You get referred clients moving through KYB and funding by building trust and reach, not by escalating.
You believe partners come first. You're a strong advocate who brings their voice into internal conversations, and you contribute to playbook development and process improvements that scale beyond your own book.
You understand the market. Experience in finance, accounting, or payments-related products is a plus. You understand what makes an accounting or advisory practice tick, and you can align a partner's business model with Float's.
You need a mature system and a written playbook before you can perform. This channel doesn't have one yet.
You're not comfortable creating urgency without formal authority.
You need close day-to-day direction rather than working independently.
You're not energized by feedback or fast-paced change.
You prefer to stay in your lane rather than collaborate across Sales, Support, Approvals and Product.
You don't feel a strong connection to Float's mission or the product we're building.
We hire for character, curiosity, and learning velocity before credentials. Titles matter less than impact, and every hire is expected to raise the bar for Float as a whole.
Own the highest-quality acquisition channel at one of Canada's fastest-growing fintechs. Partner-referred customers churn at less than half the rate of direct and adopt more products.
Build the playbook instead of maintaining someone else's. Partnerships run on one operator and a part-time BDR today.
Move in Float's uncontested window. A competitor's channel team won't be effective until Q1 FY27, so this year is Float's run at the best partners in Canada.
Competitive compensation, equity options, and benefits.
Hybrid work model. We are based in Toronto with in-office days for connection and collaboration.
Catered team lunches every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
Bring your pup to our dog-friendly office.
Thrive in a high-trust, high-performance culture where your work truly matters.
At Float, you’ll thrive if you’re bold, curious, and eager to make a real impact. We're building something special—and having a lot of fun along the way. If you’re excited to build, grow, and win together, we’d love to meet you.
We’re committed to building a workplace that’s welcoming and accessible for everyone. If you need any accommodations during the hiring process or once you join Float, just let us know! You can reach out to Vic (victoria@floatfinancial.com), and we’ll work with you to make sure you have what you need to succeed.
