Operations

We are transforming the services economy with AI.
Long Lake acquires service business and transforms how they operate through a shared AI platform, forward-deployed engineers, and a world-class M&A / operations team.

We're backed by General Catalyst, Alpha Wave, Elad Gil, and others, with billions in permanent capital raised. We are not a private equity fund but a permanent capital vehicle with an extremely long-term view.

The Role

You will work directly with the management teams of Long Lake’s businesses to solve their most important problems and drive results. The work spans commercial and operating improvement, putting Long Lake’s AI platform to work in day-to-day sales, service, and operations.

The role demands speed and depth together: getting into the detail of a problem quickly, aligning with management on the answer, and owning execution until the result shows up in the numbers.

What You’ll Do

Part of the work is analytical: budgets, forecasts, KPI reporting, and knowing the operating data well enough to see where a business is winning and losing. Most of it is execution alongside management teams.

Problems you might work on:

• Building a budget and forecast that management trusts and uses to make decisions

• Diagnosing why a sales pipeline is not converting, fixing the process, and putting reporting in place to hold it accountable

• Evaluating marketing spend and channel performance, and reallocating to what pays back

• Working with Long Lake’s technology team to move a customer service or finance workflow onto our AI platform, and driving adoption until it is the default

• Taking an initiative with no clear owner from problem definition through execution

What Success Looks Like

• Revenue growth and margins improve measurably in the businesses you support

• Management teams treat you as part of their leadership team and bring you their hardest problems

• Budgets, forecasts, and KPI reporting are accurate and drive decisions

• Sales and marketing execution is measurable and accountable

• Something you built in one business has been rolled out to others
