Join our snack-loving team
We’re looking for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join us at KP Snacks. If you’re ready to bring your ideas to the table, grow your skills and be part of a team that values what makes you, you – this could be your next big move.

Who are we?
We’re KP Snacks, part of the Intersnack family. Across more than 30 countries, over 15,000 of us work together to make the snacks people love – from Hula Hoops to McCoy’s. In the UK, we’re a team of around 2,400 colleagues, based across seven sites and our Slough HQ. We’re proud of our close-knit culture, where we speak up, celebrate differences and push boundaries together.

About the role

As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you'll play a key role in keeping our production operation running safely, efficiently and reliably. Working as part of our Engineering team, you'll carry out planned and reactive maintenance across a range of manufacturing equipment, helping to minimise downtime and maximise performance.

This is a hands-on role where you'll use both your electrical and mechanical expertise to diagnose faults, solve problems and drive continuous improvement. You'll work closely with colleagues across the site, contributing to equipment reliability, supporting improvement projects and helping to build engineering capability within the team.

No two days are the same. Whether you're responding to breakdowns, delivering preventative maintenance or supporting new engineering initiatives, you'll have the opportunity to make a real impact in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

What’s in it for you?
We believe in rewarding our colleagues and helping them thrive. Here’s a flavour of what we offer:

• Competitive annual salary

• KP Pension Plan with up to 7% matched contributions

• 25 days holiday, with the option to buy up to five additional days for more flexibility

• Comprehensive healthcare support including Health Cash Plan, Digital GP and Employee Assistance Programme

• KP4ME benefits platform with discounts, cashback, wellbeing tools and everyday savings

• Enhanced family-friendly policies to support colleagues at every stage of life

What will you be doing?

• Deliver planned and preventative maintenance to ensure equipment operates safely, reliably and efficiently across the site

• Respond to breakdowns and equipment failures by diagnosing faults quickly and implementing effective solutions to minimise downtime

• Support continuous improvement activities by identifying opportunities to improve reliability, performance and manufacturing efficiency

• Provide engineering expertise and technical support across production areas, sharing knowledge and supporting colleagues when required

• Support engineering projects and site improvements including equipment upgrades, capital projects and maintenance planning activities

We’d love to hear from you if you can bring:

• A recognised engineering qualification such as NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent in an engineering discipline

• Strong electrical and mechanical maintenance experience with proven fault-finding and diagnostic skills in a manufacturing environment

• Knowledge of industrial systems and equipment including hydraulics, pneumatics, PLCs and safe working practices

• A proactive and problem-solving mindset with the ability to prioritise workloads and respond effectively in a fast-paced environment

• Strong communication and teamwork skills with a collaborative approach and a commitment to continuous improvement
