We are looking for a Manager, who combines Cloud Platform technical knowledge, experience in building solutions in banking and a demonstrated ability to lead programs. The ideal candidate can move comfortably between executive strategy, technical architecture, and commercial opportunity development across cloud, data, AI, security, and application modernization.

This is neither a delivery-only architecture role nor a pure sales position. The successful candidate will use their banking knowledge and technical credibility to shape executable solutions and expand initial engagements into broader programs and long-term relationships.

• Lead strategic and technical discussions across cloud transformation, platform engineering, data, AI, security, and application modernization

• Translate banking business priorities, regulatory requirements, and operational challenges into credible technology strategies and executable programs

• Provide architecture-level guidance across Azure, AWS, and GCP, including hybrid- and multi-cloud environments

• Shape engagements from discovery and solution design through proposal development, mobilization, and delivery

• Develop account growth strategies in partnership with sales, delivery, and practice leadership

• Lead client workshops, architecture reviews, proposals, roadmaps, and strategic presentations

• Remain actively involved in delivery to maintain client trust, support successful outcomes, and identify emerging priorities

• Mentor architects, consultants, and engineers working within banking accounts

How do we define success for your role?

• You demonstrate BDO's core values through all aspect of your work: Integrity, Respect and Collaboration

• You understand the organization’s structure, priorities, and people practices

• Internal stakeholders describe you as positive, professional, and consistent in delivering high-quality work

• You identify, recommend, and are focused on effective service delivery to your clients

• You share in an inclusive and engaging work environment that develops, retains & attracts talent

• You actively participate in the adoption of digital tools and strategies to drive an innovative workplace

• You grow your expertise through learning and professional development

Your Experience and Education:

• Deep banking experience, including technology governance, risk, compliance, and investment decision-making

• Experience in one or more banking domains, such as retail, commercial, payments, lending, wealth, capital markets, risk, or finance

• Broad understanding of cloud, data, AI, cybersecurity, integration, and application modernization

• Demonstrated ability to assess complex technology environments and provide clear, practical direction

• Strong executive presence and the ability to communicate credibly with both senior executives and technical teams

Although this is not primarily a hands-on engineering role, candidates must have the technical depth to assess, shape, and challenge enterprise cloud solutions within large banking environments:

• Cloud Platform Architect-level knowledge of Azure, AWS, and/or GCP, including hybrid- and multi-cloud environments

• Platform engineering and shared cloud services designed for use across multiple teams and applications

• Cloud governance, landing zones, identity, networking, security, resilience, and observability

• Working knowledge of Infrastructure-as-Code, CI/CD, containers, Kubernetes, APIs, and modern application delivery practices

• Ability to evaluate technical approaches, identify risks, and explain recommendations to architects, engineers, and executives

Preferred:

• 5+ years of progressive experience across banking technology, cloud architecture, consulting, or technology leadership

• Experience working directly for a bank, advising banking clients, or both

• Previous experience in consulting, professional services, systems integration, or a technology-provider environment

• Demonstrated responsibility for account growth, business development, or market development

• Experience leading major cloud transformation, platform modernization, or enterprise technology programs

• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and influencing without direct authority

The expected range of compensation for this role is $115,000 - $165,000 annually.
