Ready for a meaningful second chapter?

You’ve built skills. Led teams. Solved problems. Delivered results.
Now imagine using that experience to directly impact someone’s daily life.

At AbilityPath, we support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live fuller, more independent lives — and we’re looking for mission-driven people ready to do work that truly matters.

Whether you’re transitioning from corporate, healthcare, education, public service — or simply seeking more purpose in your next chapter — your experience brings leadership, structure, and compassion into a role that changes lives.

No prior IDD experience required. Just empathy, reliability, and a willingness to learn.

Your Experience Is More Valuable Than You Think

Former managers, teachers, teach professionals, healthcare professionals, corporate leaders, customer service experts — your skills translate powerfully into this work.

Communication. Organization. Leadership. Patience. Problem-solving.

These aren’t just resume bullet points here — they’re life-changing tools.

About Our Opportunities

Our team members provide meaningful, hands-on support to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in both community-based and on-site settings. Whether serving as a Program Instructor, Direct Support Professional (Independent Living), Employment Specialist, Job Coach, or Job Developer, you’ll play a direct role in helping individuals build skills, confidence, independence, and connection.

Across all of our roles, the heart of the work is the same: empowering people to live fuller, more self-directed lives — at home, at work, and in the community.

These opportunities are especially meaningful for professionals transitioning into a second career — individuals ready to apply their experience in communication, organization, leadership, coaching, or relationship-building to work that creates visible, human impact every day.

If you’re looking to align your career with your values and contribute to a mission-driven nonprofit community, this could be the next chapter you’ve been searching for.
