Job Summary / Purpose

The Implementation Consultant is responsible for leading the functional delivery of assigned client implementations, partnering with Project Managers and Engineers to ensure successful execution from project kickoff through deployment. This role configures solutions, provides best-practice guidance, delivers client training, and drives client readiness, adoption, and long-term success.

Who you will work with:

In this role, you will partner with a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders, including fellow Professional Services Project Managers and Engineers, Support, Sales, Client Management, ERP vendors, third-party partners, and senior client leaders to ensure clients achieve their implementation goals.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

• Meet or exceed established goals for utilization, client satisfaction, and project delivery.
• Serve as a trusted advisor by providing guidance, troubleshooting assistance, and best-practice recommendations throughout implementation.
• Configure and optimize platform solutions to align with client business processes and objectives.
• Collaborate with technical resources to implement, test, and validate integrations with client systems.
• Lead client enablement efforts through training, change management support, and go-live readiness activities.
• Continuously develop expertise in new and existing products, services, and implementation methodologies.

• Experience facilitating client meetings, gathering requirements, delivering training, and supporting solution adoption.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills with attention to detail.
• Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and accountable, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in software implementation, professional services, consulting, technical support, or project delivery roles.
• Experience implementing enterprise software solutions, including ERP, SIS, payment, or transaction-based systems.

Essential Functions of the job:

The duties and responsibilities described in this job description are intended to represent the essential functions of the position as defined under applicable federal, state, and local labor laws, including the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). These functions are the fundamental job duties required for successful performance.

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions unless such accommodations impose an undue hardship on the organization.

This job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities. Duties may be added, removed, or modified at any time in accordance with business needs and applicable law.

Competencies and Behaviors

• Client Focus: Builds trusted relationships with clients by understanding their goals, providing expert guidance, and delivering a positive implementation experience.
• Communication: Communicates clearly and professionally with technical and non-technical audiences, both verbally and in writing.
• Consultative Problem-Solving: Analyzes business needs, identifies solutions, and recommends best practices to help clients achieve their desired outcomes.
• Ownership & Accountability: Takes responsibility for assigned deliverables, follows through on commitments, and drives work to successful completion.
• Collaboration: Works effectively with Project Managers, Engineers, Support teams, and other stakeholders to deliver seamless client solutions.
• Adaptability: Adjusts priorities and approaches in response to changing client needs, project requirements, and business priorities.
• Organization & Execution: Effectively manages multiple projects, timelines, and competing priorities while maintaining a high level of quality and attention to detail.
• Continuous Learning: Actively develops product, industry, and technical knowledge to improve expertise and deliver greater value to clients.
• Humble: The right leaders for Illumia don't need to own the spotlight — they share credit, define success collectively, and are quick to elevate the contributions of others. This is a company that still writes its story. The leaders who thrive here find energy in building something together, not in being recognized as the smartest person in the room.
• Hungry: We are not looking for caretakers. We are looking for leaders who are restless about what's possible, self-motivated to close the gap between where we are today and where we need to be, and who are already thinking about the next opportunity before anyone asks.
• Smart: At Illumia, our leaders must operate across a complex, distributed organization spanning multiple product lines, two legacy cultures, and thousands of customers with competing priorities. Technical skills matter, but the ability to read a room, build trust across functions, and bring people along is what separates a great leader from one who burns the organization out.

This position is classified as Exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and applicable state wage-and-hour laws.
