What we’re building?

The last major technological shift - the rise of the consumer internet - created LinkedIn as the networked winner in recruitment. The next great shift is here. AI is transforming how people and companies connect and it will redefine the global labor market.

At Jack & Jill, we are building the company that leads this transformation.

We have released two agentic products (Jack and Jill), have built a brilliant team of Europe’s best engineers, operators and ex founders, and have just raised $40M Series A, led by Air Street Capital with participation from Creandum and Madrona. In the coming years, every knowledge worker will have an AI agent managing their career, and every company will have an AI agent helping them hire.

By connecting those agents, we’re building a new infrastructure for the future of the labor market itself.

If that vision excites you, come help us build it.

Meet Jack & Jill

We are not putting a thin AI layer on broken processes. We are rebuilding from first principles with two dedicated agents who work for their users:

Jack, for candidates: An always-on career co-pilot. Jack starts with a deep conversation to understand who you are and what you really want. He provides market insights, coaching, and companionship.
Jill, for companies: A true AI talent partner. Jill goes far beyond a job description to deeply understand your company, your culture, and the real context behind a role. She sources candidates, reviews inbound applicants, conducts first-pass screening calls, and acts as a strategic thought partner.

Jack & Jill will not just disrupt the existing recruitment software market, but also the 10x bigger recruitment services market.

We’re moving at breakneck speed

We have already released two remarkable products, have 400,000+ candidates using Jack, 2000+ paying customers signed up to Jill and built a spectacular early team. The technology is ready and 10x better than the status quo – we need to build and execute at a relentless speed to build on this early momentum and bring it to the world as fast as we can.

We have thousands of users having an incredible experiences with Jack & Jill:

Who are we looking for?

We’re looking for Founding Engineers to help us build Jack & Jill into the default way people find jobs!

You’ll be a great fit if:

🧠 You’re smart

We’re building at pace in an ambiguous, changing environment. We believe that general intelligence correlates highly with performance, particularly in such a context.

🎯 You’re product-focused

You want to make a real difference how millions of people spend most of their lives! We’re building at the bleeding edge of AI, but we’re not academics. Regardless of whether it’s by using the latest AI models or by simply talking to a customer; it’s the impact that matters to you, and you’re able to think about the customer, the product and the technology simultaneously.

🏆 You’re an ambitious overachiever

You’ll have shown your ambition and excellence in your life. Whether that’s academically, professionally, in a sporting context, or in whatever else you’ve done. We want people that hold themselves to a high bar and are exceptional.

🏃You want to move fast

We’re looking for people who want to move fast. We’re determined to become the default way people find jobs and we won’t get there by moving slowly. That means the hours may be long and we’ll have to make smart trade-offs, but we’ll change the world whilst doing it!

📈 You’re high agency

We’re looking for people to take ownership, who don’t need to be told what to do, but like being given hard, complex problems and finding creative solutions.

🤝 You’re a good team player

We need to be excellent individually, but a small team of exceptional people is so more than the sum of its parts. We’re going to be spending a lot of time together and we have no space on the team for brilliant jerks.

(We’re working in-person at the Shoreditch Exchange and are hosting some other hackers and founders in our office so you’ll be surrounded by builders!)

🏋🏻‍♀️ Our team

Founded by two experienced serial founders
- Matt (CEO) - previous company grew to a $600m valuation in 3 years before exiting to Deel

We’re a 25-person, founder-heavy team (17 ex-founders)

💻 Our tech Stack

Next.js + Typescript
Python (FastAPI)
PostgreSQL

(But we’re stack agnostic – we believe the best engineers can pickup any tech stack…)

🎁 And there’s also the perks….

We’re building a high-performance environment. You’ll work hard, and we want to clear your plate to make sure that you have everything you need to be able to perform at your very best!
