Team

We are building Comet, a private, end-to-end encrypted messenger made and hosted in France. Our ambition is to make Comet the European reference for private messaging: a product people love using, companies trust for their most important conversations and Europe can rely on as its own communication infrastructure.

Role

The consumer product is live. We are now looking for our first Account Executive to turn Comet into a product companies buy and deploy. You will own the entire sales cycle, from cold outreach to signed pilot, expansion and renewal. This is a founding role: you will execute from day one and help prove the sales playbook in the field.

Create the pipeline: Build account lists within our ICP and reach prospects through cold calls, emails, LinkedIn and referrals. You will not wait for inbound demand.
Run the sales cycle end to end: Secure first meetings, qualify opportunities, lead discovery and demos, build internal champions, manage follow-ups and drive every next step through signature.
Navigate complex buying groups: Work with business sponsors, end users, IT, security, legal and procurement; align them around the use case, pilot scope, success measures and our commercial offer.
Turn pilots into references, renewals and expansion: Stay close through onboarding and usage, identify blockers early and build the business case for a broader rollout.
Bring discipline to execution: Keep the CRM accurate, maintain a rigorous pipeline and forecast, and make sure no opportunity stalls because of weak follow-through.
Improve the playbook through evidence: Test our targeting and messaging in the field, document what works and bring clear customer feedback to the product team. Never promise bespoke work without product and security alignment.

Profile

We are looking for someone with a minimum 3–5 years of experience in B2B SaaS sales who has already owned a full sales cycle and built pipeline through outbound prospecting.

Most importantly, you have sold a product that is genuinely hard to sell: a challenger brand, a new category, a technical product or an offering that requires customers to change established habits. You have succeeded without relying on strong brand recognition or a steady flow of inbound leads.

You have personally:

Built pipeline through cold calls, emails, LinkedIn and referrals.
Created urgency where none existed.
Run discovery calls and product demonstrations.
Handled tough objections and competitive situations.
Aligned business, technical, security, legal and procurement stakeholders.
Maintained a disciplined pipeline and reliable forecast.
Asked directly for the next step and closed deals.

You are a hunter with exceptional follow-through. You are comfortable opening doors, learning a technical product, running senior conversations and operating with limited structure.

Experience selling collaboration software, cybersecurity, sovereign cloud or products to regulated industries is a strong plus.
