Expansion Manager - Spain

Become part of a fast-growing company that plays a fundamental role in shaping our future! Together with more than 400 colleagues from +45 nationalities, we enable electric vehicle drivers around Europe to fast-charge their cars with green energy and lead the way in making mobility sustainable. In this role, you will drive the growth of our locations, as our goal is a European network of 1,000 fast charging stations on prime locations. Fastned is a fast growing, listed scaleup company and is currently active in nine countries.

We stand out from other charge point operators with our high-power charging, drive-through model, and commitment to super-reliable infrastructure. Our stations provide fast, seamless charging experiences, allowing drivers to charge their EVs in minutes, not hours. As a leading provider of ultra-fast charging, we’re focused on delivering exceptional service and innovation to accelerate the transition to electric mobility, and it all starts with securing the best locations!

We’re looking for an Expansion Manager to help us find and secure top-tier charging locations along the main corridors and cities of central and Southern Spain, to strengthen our connection with our network in the rest of Europe and solidify our position as the go-to charging provider in Spain and Europe!

Your role

As an Expansion Manager,  you’ll focus on securing prime real estate in high-traffic areas, ensuring our stations are visible, accessible, and built for long-term success. You’ll work closely with landowners, developers, and retailers to forge strategic partnerships, helping Fastned solidify its position as the leading charging network in the region.

To secure the best locations, we expect you to implement a strong network development plan. You will be responsible to shape your own network and expansion efforts, and to think strategically on how you approach the various stakeholders in- and outside of your network.

Working as part of a dynamic, international team, you’ll also help streamline processes to maximise efficiency and effectiveness. You'll become an expert in the future of e-mobility and charging infrastructure, collaborating with subject matter experts to sharpen your knowledge and lead negotiations with confidence.

Don't worry, your onboarding will include "masterclasses" on e-mobility and fast-charging, so you'll be ready to hit the ground running and shape the future of mobility by bringing essential charging infrastructure to key locations.

This role is based in Spain, where you’ll join a fun, diverse team spread across Europe. You'll have the unique opportunity to learn about and contribute to an industry driven by the future, making a real impact on the energy transition!

Who we are looking for

To succeed in this role, you need to be a strong networker and negotiator. You’ll be responsible for driving Fastned’s expansion strategy in your focus area, securing prime sites with different parties, such as landowners, real estate companies, investment funds, as well as  government bodies while supporting the team’s expansion efforts.

• 5+ years of work experience, with at least 3 years in a relevant commercial role

• Strong real estate and contract knowledge (commercial, planning, and legal aspects)

• Sales-driven and results-oriented with strong commercial acumen

• Proven negotiation skills, comfortable dealing with both large real estate investors and private landowners

• An affinity with commercial and financial concepts, or a willingness to learn

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Spanish and English

• Willingness to travel regularly within Spain  and occasionally throughout Europe

• A natural curiosity and passion for learning and taking on new challenges

• A strong motivation to accelerate the energy transition

• An existing network of key private and public stakeholders in real estate, energy, infrastructure, transport, or e-mobility sectors within Spain

• Previous experience in expansion and/or real estate,  with a focus on Madrid, Murcia and Andalucia

• Good understanding of urban regulations and proven experience liaising with public authorities
