The Bigger Picture
At Andromeda, we're building the social intelligence layer for humanoid robots - technology that allows robots to understand people, build relationships and become a meaningful part of everyday life.
Our first robot, Abi, is already doing this in aged care and healthcare, where she brings conversation, companionship and engagement to people every day.
Now we're scaling from early deployments into a platform that can operate across thousands of real-world environments. We're looking for individuals who want to tackle hard problems across robotics and AI, and help define what it means for robots to live and interact alongside people.
Our Values
- Empathy – Kindness and compassion are at the heart of everything we do.
- Play – Play sharpens focus. It keeps us curious, fast and obsessed with the craft.
- Never Settle – A relentless ambition, bias toward action, and uncomfortable levels of curiosity.
- Tenacity – Tenacious under pressure, we assume chaos and stay in motion to adapt and progress.
- Unity – Different minds. Shared mission. No passengers.
The Role
As our first dedicated EA & Office Manager in San Francisco, you will wear two critical hats. You will act as the strategic engine for our CEO (and provide key support to our COO), while simultaneously building a vibrant, efficient in-office culture. This role is roughly a 60% Executive Assistant and 40% Office Management split. Reporting directly to the COO, you will have a massive impact on our daily operations, team morale, and execution speed.
Core Responsibilities
Executive Support (60%)
- CEO Master Scheduler: Own the CEO’s complex calendar, anticipate conflicts, protect her time fiercely, and ensure she stays on schedule throughout the day.
- Strategic Gatekeeping: Act as the primary point of contact and bridge for internal teams, external partners, and investors seeking the CEO's time.
- Multi-Executive coordination: Seamlessly schedule complex, multi-executive internal meetings and critical Board of Directors meetings.
- COO Calendar Support: Manage essential calendar scheduling and logistics for our Chief Operating Officer.
- Travel & Expense Logistics: Coordinate end-to-end domestic and international travel arrangements and handle seamless expense reconciliation using Ramp.
- AI-Powered Efficiency: Actively utilize or experiment with emerging AI tools (e.g., for automated transcription, meeting summaries, draft correspondence, or travel research) to multiply your impact and keep our executives operating at peak velocity.
Office Management & Culture (40%)
- Hub Operations: Maintain a pristine, organized, and fully stocked physical office space that inspires the team every day.
- Culture & Community: Act as our resident culture builder—organizing team lunches, celebrating milestones, and planning memorable team events.
- Logistics & Shipments: Coordinate incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring critical hardware components and office supplies get where they need to go.
- Tech Savvy & AI-Forward: Deeply proficient with Google Workspace, Calendly, and Ramp. You either already use AI productivity tools (like ChatGPT, Claude, or specialized scheduling assistants) in your daily workflow, or you possess a high curiosity and eagerness to learn and adopt them.
- Growth Scouting (Bonus): If capable and interested, partner with the leadership team to scout, evaluate, and transition us into our next San Francisco office space as we scale.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Experience: 3+ years of professional experience in an EA, Office Manager, or Operations role. Experience in a venture-backed tech or hardware startup is highly preferred.
- Tech Savvy: High proficiency with Google Workspace, Calendly, and Ramp (or similar expense management tools).
- The "Startup Mindset": A fierce "can-do" attitude with a willingness to roll up your sleeves; you thrive in ambiguity and love building processes from scratch.
- High Energy: You bring vibrant, positive energy into the physical workspace and genuinely enjoy connecting people and building company culture.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the absolute discretion required to handle confidential executive and board matters.
- Location: Ability to work onsite 5 days a week in our San Francisco office.
About you
- You bring energy, not just competence. People feel your presence in the office, not just your output in their inbox.
- No task is beneath you. You'll build a board deck in the morning and break down shipping boxes in the afternoon, without treating either as more "you" than the other.
- You anticipate, not react. You catch a scheduling conflict before it happens, not after.
- You're a finisher. You close the loop on the small stuff — a missed detail, a stalled vendor thread, a supply reorder — without being asked twice.
Benefits
The expected base salary range for this role is $90,000 - $100,000 USD. Actual compensation will be determined by a variety of factors, including the candidate's job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
