AECOM
ApplyShape the future of aviation infrastructure across Australia and New Zealand.
What if your next career move gave you the opportunity to shape some of the region’s most significant airports, airfields and aviation infrastructure — while helping grow one of AECOM’s leading Aviation businesses?
There has never been a better time to be at AECOM. With accelerating infrastructure investment worldwide, our services are in great demand. We invite you to bring your bold ideas and big dreams and become part of a global team of over 50,000 planners, designers, engineers, scientists, digital innovators, program and construction managers and other professionals delivering projects that create a positive and tangible impact around the world.
We're one global team driven by our common purpose to deliver a better world. Join us.
AECOM is delivering some of the most complex and exciting aviation infrastructure projects across Australia and New Zealand. From major international airports and regional aviation hubs to Defence airfields and airside infrastructure, our Aviation & Pavements team is helping shape the future of aviation across the region.
Based in Melbourne, this is an opportunity to join a highly respected team with a strong pipeline of airport, airfield and pavement projects already underway, while playing a key role in the continued growth of our Aviation business across Victoria and ANZ. You will work alongside industry-leading technical specialists and be connected to AECOM’s global aviation network, including more than 850 aviation professionals worldwide.
At AECOM, we combine local knowledge with global capability to help our clients solve complex challenges and deliver sustainable outcomes for communities, passengers and industry.
As a Director in Aviation & Pavements, you will provide technical leadership, project direction and client engagement across a diverse portfolio of aviation and pavement projects.
How you’ll make a difference
Why This Role
This is more than a senior technical role.
It's an opportunity to influence the future of aviation infrastructure across Australia and New Zealand — working with major airports, Defence organisations and industry leaders on projects that are critical to the way our communities and economies connect.
You'll have the scale and technical depth of AECOM behind you, but the opportunity to make your own mark. You'll shape projects, influence clients, develop people and help grow a market-leading aviation capability.
Whether you're ready to step into a broader Associate Director role or you're already operating at Technical Director level, this role provides the scope to make a significant impact.
With a strong pipeline of work already underway and access to AECOM's global aviation network, you'll be connected to expertise and opportunities well beyond Melbourne.
What you'll bring
We're looking for an established aviation and/or pavement leader who combines deep technical expertise with commercial awareness, strong client relationships and the ability to bring people together around a shared vision.
If you're ready to lead major aviation projects, influence the market, develop future leaders and help shape what's next for AECOM Aviation, we'd love to hear from you.
Why you’ll love working with us
Ready to push the limits of what’s possible?
We welcome applications from individuals of all backgrounds, including those with disabilities, additional health or mental health needs, and/or neurodiverse conditions. If you require any adjustments during the hiring process, please let us know.
