Coach

Your mission

To deliver outstanding coaching on the gym floor, strengthen the culture of MARCHON Harpenden by balancing community and competition, and play a pivotal role in developing both members and the coaching team.

Key Responsibilities

1. Deliver engaging Small Group Personal Training Sessions & Large Group Fitness Classes: Coach 4-7 dynamic group class sessions per day (5–6 days per week), ensuring high energy, safe movement standards, and an inclusive environment for all fitness levels.

2. Manage a member cohort: Take ownership of a group of 40–60 members, providing ongoing support outside of class through check-ins, accountability, lifestyle guidance, and progress tracking.

3. Run and participate in events: Lead, organise, and attend community events, workshops, and challenges that build connection, engagement, and brand culture.

4. Assist with operations: Support administrative and operational tasks as needed, contributing to the smooth running of the gym and helping the wider team deliver an exceptional member experience.

5. Social Media Responsibilities: Our Harpenden social channels act as a shop window for our local audience. Each week, you’ll be responsible for taking over the page’s stories - showing up with enthusiasm, speaking confidently to educate our audience, and consistently bringing value through your content.

Your Experience

• Proven experience coaching and leading sessions, with the ability to engage, motivate, and adapt to a wide range of abilities.
• Experience providing individualised support around lifestyle, recovery, and nutrition, helping members build sustainable habits inside and outside the gym.
• Strong background in program design and progression planning, with the ability to create effective, varied, and results-driven training programs.

• Exposure to or experience in sales and member acquisition (preferable), with the confidence to promote services, onboard new members, and support business growth.

• Experience in organising and running community events (preferable), demonstrating the ability to build connection and culture beyond the training floor.

Why MARCHON?

MARCHON is the UK’s premium performance-lifestyle ecosystem, one brand that helps driven people train, fuel and dress for a life without limits. World-class coaching sits at the centre, backed by certified performance nutrition and movement-ready apparel, all amplified by our beacon gyms.

Founded by ex-England rugby player and CEO Ollie Marchon, the company has grown from a single HQ club to a true omni-channel offering: the Train app, a fast-scaling supplement line, and physical hubs that bring the experience to life.

We’re still small enough that every new teammate leaves fingerprints on the product, yet the momentum is real. Our 2026 plans are ambitious to say the least, as we make a step-change in evolving our ecosystem between training, supplements and apparel.

If you care about high standards, straight talk and making a visible impact, you’ll feel at home here. Join us while there’s still room to shape the journey.
