Overview

We own our core technology end to end, with code and architecture that has scaled well with us. That's our edge, and it's why this role matters. We're looking for a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to be accountable for the technology capabilities that will drive our success in the following areas:

• Technology strategy

• Engineering capability and execution

• Platform reliability and resilience

• Technology risk and security

• Technology enabled competitive advantage.

Dabble's 5-year strategic plan is built on three pillars, all of which rely on technology capabilities you will lead.

• Our Engine (6-star customer experience, intentional investment, built to scale),

• Our Edge (owning social betting, Dabble as a game, delivering win-big moments), and

• Our Evolution (iGaming our way, expanding our model globally, and being public market ready).

This role is the custodian of technology capabilities that underpin Dabble's competitive advantage. You'll sit on our Executive Leadership Team, partner directly with our CEO and Board, and balance long-term architecture with the pragmatism to move fast without breaking what punters rely on.

If you've scaled tech businesses globally before, know how to turn tech investment into outcomes rather than headlines, and want to build at genuine pace with real ownership, we'd love to chat.

This is a rare opportunity to disrupt a crowded market, make meaningful impact on business outcomes, while helping us build the brand that will scale.

Are you a Dabbler?

A Dabbler’s attitude is paramount, as the right person will be able to learn quickly and adapt to any skill gaps. A Dabbler is always a team player, with a willingness to share with and learn from others. Being a remote-first workplace, collaborative working styles are crucial to empower and grow each individual member (e.g. we prefer openness via public channels to problem solve or ideate on Slack).

A Dabbler uses their freedom of autonomy to its absolute potential and enjoys contributing to the Dabble community. We hold respect for our peers very highly. We encourage you to think differently, be brave and strive to always raise the bar. Dabble was born out of thought sharing and should tackle growth in the same way. Dabble embraces empowerment of all people at any level of seniority and experience to ‘own their work’ and ‘talk their book’ wherever they can.

A fulfilling life extends beyond work, and we encourage our employees to prioritise self-care and well-being. This means taking breaks when needed, setting boundaries, and seeking support when facing challenges. We are committed to creating a safe environment where individuals feel comfortable discussing their wellbeing and accessing resources when necessary.
