Benesch
ApplyBenesch is a growing, multi-disciplined planning, engineering, and professional services firm. We enhance infrastructure and communities across the country – creating spaces and providing connections in ways that make a difference.
We pride ourselves on being nimble enough to remain responsive to client needs yet large enough to offer exceptional bench strength. As a member of our team, you’ll have an opportunity to draw from those resources when you need them and, likewise, contribute your expertise when you have something to share.
At Benesch, we are looking for candidates with varied backgrounds and worldviews. We are committed to offering an inclusive work environment where everyone feels valued and respected. Statistics show that women and underrepresented groups are less likely to apply for a position if they don’t meet 100% of the qualifications. If this statement resonates with you, don’t be so hard on yourself—apply for the job!
We’re looking for a Bridge Inspection Technologist II to join our North Carolina team and be part of a team helping keep North Carolina’s bridges and transportation infrastructure safe and reliable. In this role, you’ll work alongside the Team Leader to perform detailed inspections of bridges and other highway structures, identify and document structural conditions, take precise measurements, and prepare reports that support decisions around the safety, integrity, and long-term maintenance of these structures.
This is a hands-on, field-based role where no two days are exactly alike. You’ll have the opportunity to work on a variety of structures, use specialized inspection equipment, and work in environments that may include heights, slopes, traffic, confined spaces, and areas above water. You’ll also help plan inspection activities, train new inspectors, and support additional field assessments and project needs as they arise.
If you enjoy hands-on technical work, being outdoors, solving problems, and seeing the impact of your work firsthand, this is an opportunity to build specialized experience while contributing to infrastructure that communities rely on every day.
This position is based out of our Raleigh, NC office and follows a hybrid work schedule. Bridge inspection projects will take you throughout North Carolina and may require regular overnight travel. There may also be opportunities to support bridge inspection projects outside of North Carolina.
It’s simple. We invest in our people, not just our projects.
Whether you’re starting your career or bringing years of experience, you’ll have the support and exposure to grow here.
