Ripjar was founded by veterans of GCHQ to bring national security-grade intelligence tools to the fight against financial crime. Financial crime funds human trafficking, terrorism, corruption and sanctions evasion on a global scale, and the organisations on the front line need technology built to match the threat.
Today, Ripjar's AI-native software and data fusion products are used by governments, the world's largest banks, and global enterprises to automate the detection, investigation and monitoring of serious financial crime. Every day, hundreds of customers and thousands of daily active users rely on the platform to screen hundreds of millions of names for risk in real time, prevent money laundering and stop terrorist financing.
If you want your work to matter, this is where it happens.
The role:
As an Account Executive, you’ll own the full sales cycle for our adverse media and sanctions screening solutions. You’ll partner with compliance, risk, and financial crime leaders to help them strengthen their KYC, onboarding, and monitoring processes.
You’ll collaborate closely with marketing, product, and solutions engineering to drive pipeline growth, manage complex sales cycles, and close strategic deals that move the needle for both our clients and our business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own the end-to-end sales process — from prospecting and qualification through to negotiation and close.
- Drive new business with upper mid-market clients across banking, fintech and commercial clients.
- Build trusted relationships with Heads of Compliance, MLROs, and Financial Crime leaders.
- Lead discovery sessions, tailored demos, and proof-of-concept projects.
- Educate prospects on the regulatory and reputational risks of inadequate screening — including AML breaches, sanctions violations, and media risk exposure.
- Work cross-functionally with solutions engineering and product to align client needs with our platform’s capabilities.
- Maintain accurate forecasts and activity tracking in Salesforce.
- Represent the company at key industry events and thought-leadership forums.
- Provide structured feedback to product and marketing on client trends and competitive landscape.
Requirements
What We’re Looking For:
- 5+ years of B2B SaaS sales experience, ideally within AML/KYC, sanctions screening, or adverse media monitoring.
- Proven success closing six-figure deals with regulated financial institutions.
- Strong network within payments, banking, or fintech.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex compliance technology.
- Consultative, value-based sales approach and confidence engaging with senior compliance stakeholders.
- Experience running structured sales cycles — from discovery through PoC to close.
- Hands-on familiarity with tools like Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar CRM platforms.
- Self-starter mentality, able to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Willingness to travel occasionally for client meetings and events.
